[kmail2] [Bug 323767] New: emails being duplicated repeatedly when selecting a maildir folder after a mail check
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323767 Bug ID: 323767 Summary: emails being duplicated repeatedly when selecting a maildir folder after a mail check Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: 4.10.5 Platform: Debian unstable OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tho...@fjellstrom.ca Over time, I see duplicate messages get filtered into folders, even long after the original was received. The odd parts: - occasionally an incoming/inbox folder will show a low number of unread messages ( 10) , but upon selecting the folder, one of two things happen: 1. the unread count goes back to 0, or the proper unread count if there are actually some new messages in that folder. 2. the unread count jumps to over 30-40 messages very briefly, and messages appear as unread for a short time, then they get filtered into folders. These are almost always duplicates. Typically this happens after sitting for a while and some new messages have been received and filtered. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set up one or more pop3 accounts 2. set up some move into filters 3. watch as duplicates get filtered into folders Actual Results: Duplicated messages Expected Results: no duplicated messages -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Akonadi] [Bug 316840] imap resource starts crazy connect / disconnect cycle to mail server
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316840 Thomas Fjellstrom tho...@fjellstrom.ca changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tho...@fjellstrom.ca --- Comment #29 from Thomas Fjellstrom tho...@fjellstrom.ca --- I'm trying to switch to imap from a bunch of pop3 accounts, and came across this problem. I have a hypothesis as to what is going on. Things work fine for a long time under normal circumstances, but if the imap server disconnects the imap client, akonadi doesn't notice and keeps trying to use the session, which is now invalid and the server rejects. somehow even after the rejection the akonadi imap client still doesn't know the session is dead, and things just stop working in kmail, all while the imap server spams its own log with disconnect messages. At least thats how it seems to me. I can sometimes stop the cycle by fully stopping, and restarting my imap server, but it'll eventually come back. And the other way is by fully stopping and restarting akonadi. But again, it will eventually come back. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
