On next request cycle the user have to enter the password again. This behavior is problematic. There serveral providers which refuses the login when called to often within a time period or busy. It's clear now that we are trying to insert items into a virtual collection that are already there. This does not cause any problems, as you can't have one item linked multiple times into one virtual collection, so if the constraint fails, it means the item is already there and everything's fine. The warning is probably generated from Nepomuk Search code, which does not verify whether the item is already linked. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[akregator] [Bug 329530] New: Akregator produces multiple and distracting/disturbing certificate errors, including when it is only open in tray.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329530 Bug ID: 329530 Summary: Akregator produces multiple and distracting/disturbing certificate errors, including when it is only open in tray. Classification: Unclassified Product: akregator Version: 4.11.3 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: nickmdow...@gmail.com Sometimes Akregator produces multiple certificate errors. Whilst these may be correct (I'm not actually sure - sometimes I get errors without any clear reason why i should be getting an error), and whilst sometimes i seem to be getting problems with certificates I've asked it to accept permanently (see bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100302), sometimes I get these errors from logging in on an open network, e.g. in a library, where it produces a login window in a browser . The way it produces these errors can be quite inconvenient, as a) it produces an error even though akregator is only running in the system tray and is not actively open, and b) if there are multiple certificates error, it brings these all up as individual error messages which the user has to click through to continue with what they are doing. My suggestion would be that errors are disabled while akregator is in the system tray (they could be held for when akregator is opened), and also that if multiple errors are found, these are all bundled together into one message, or there could be an option to ignore/hide future certificate errors within the session. Thanks! Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have Akregator running 2.Have multiple feeds with new items that cause certificate errors (not sure what these are) 3. Actual Results: Multiple errors as described. Expected Results: Errors should be less prominent, not multiple, and with the possibility to hide them. Certainly errors should only appear when akregator itself is open (i.e. not in system tray). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

Now in the post-Snowden era that we all are discussing how to make computers more secure I think it's time to make crypto more useful. On high security level systems it should be possible to disable the handling of such emails completely (OK except for showing the header data which isn't signed anyway) which do not have a valid PGP/MIME signature by a key which has been explicitly marked trustworthy for this security level (no matter if the email is encrypted or not). This may be done by creating a separate keyring and call gpg with --no-default-keyring or by checking the normal gpg result against a fingerprint whitelist. Instead of the mail content a message like The KMail configuration requires all emails to be signed by a key from the secure keys list. This email is not opened because it lacks a valid signature / has a correct signature but from a key which is not on the secure keys list. Such a configuration probably makes sense only as a global option. But it may make sense to have a secure keys list per mailbox. This may be a nice feature from the admin perspective (even more if the user cannot disable it and cannot modify the secure keys list) because it limits the users possibilities to make mistakes. These signatures could also be made by antivirus software so this feature could as a side effect ensure that only such email is read which has been checked.
