[Akonadi] [Bug 466239] New: Kmail does not accept yahoo mail account

2023-02-22 Thread K
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466239

Bug ID: 466239
Summary: Kmail does not accept yahoo mail account
Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: FreeBSD Ports
OS: FreeBSD
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Account Wizard
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: korakianiti...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: accountwizard (0.2)

Qt Version: 5.15.8
Frameworks Version: 5.102.0
Operating System: FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE-p6 amd64
Windowing System: X11
Distribution (Platform): FreeBSD Ports
DrKonqi: 5.26.5 [KCrashBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
Adding a yahoo mail account in kmail leads to the application crashing
immediatly when entering the incoming and outgoing mail server details at the
final step. Credentials could be added one step before that and one can choose
acount type and so on. It seems to be crashing at the final step before adding
the account. It strikes me as odd that adding a gmail account is working and
was fairely easy/automated whilst a yahoo account can not be added. I am using
FreeBSD, yahoo uses FreeBSD, thunderbird works just fine with yahoo. Where is
the Problem in kmail then, I don't know...

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Account Assistant (accountwizard), signal: Segmentation fault

(lldb) process attach --pid 22012
(lldb) settings set term-width 200
(lldb) thread info
(lldb) bt all

[kontact] [Bug 466234] akregator sometimes crashes (and kontact crashes with it).

One more thing: it always crashes after some time of being idle (e.g. not using
kontact and switching back to it). It never crashes when I have just started it
and work with it.

-- Information about the crash:
Sometimes just switching from kmail to akregator crashes the whole thing.
Today it was trying to update news from within akregator, so I think it's a bug
within akregator.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

Windowing System: X11

-- Information about the crash:
I tried to send a mail using KMail, but it did not do that. So I restarted
akonadi (the go-to solution for most issues…). Then KMail's folder list became
empty. So I quit it and restarted. Then KMail crashed.

The reporter is unsure if this crash is reproducible.
