--- Comment #4 from Martin Stolpe martinsto...@gmail.com ---
I have updated to 4.9.0 and it seems that this release has a fix for this
feature included. At least this feature is working for me now.

Can anybody confirm?

[Bug 297795] New: autocompletion of names doesn't work

2012-04-09 Thread Martin Stolpe
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=297795

Bug ID: 297795
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.8.2
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: autocompletion of names doesn't work
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: martinsto...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Archlinux Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: composer
   Product: kmail2

Hello,

when I type in names in the To field New Message dialog the autocompletions
for names doesn't work for me.

Here are the steps I took to setup kmail/kaddressbok:

In kaddressbook:
- File - New - Add Address Book... - Personal Contacts - OK
- set the location of the address book to /home/martin/.local/share/contacts/
- added some contacts

In kmail:
- In Settings - Configure KMail... - Composer - Configure Completions
Order... I made sure that my address book is listed

In System Settings - Personal Information - Akonadi Resources
Configuration I see a green light for my personal contacts.

Best regards
Martin

--- Comment #7 from Martin Stolpe martinsto...@gmail.com ---
I've tested it with 4.8.2 and it seems to work now.

There's an interesting alternative though which is called akonadi-google. It
offers some features like adding tasks and ability to select several calendars.

Hi Grégory,

I will try to import my Google Calendar after 4.8.2 has been released and
report back the result. Thanks for looking into this problem!

xsession-errors log file

I don't know what I have to look for in the xsession-errors log file. I've
tried to include everything which seems to be related to akonadi and the
calendar ressource in the attached log file.

OS:Linux

I've added a Google calendar resource to akonadi as described here:
http://www.dennogumi.org/2011/06/access-multiple-google-calendars-from-korganizer
But after I've added the calendar I get the error message mentioned in the

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open korganizer
