[Akonadi] [Bug 406917] Sync of webdav calendar stuck forever
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406917 --- Comment #12 from MartinG --- I checked mine today, and mine is also back in none-sync mode. The sad thing is, that I have put in a number of events in Korganizer, that are now not shown in my shared Nextcloud calendar. I guess I will have to reset the connection and lose all of those. I tend to import flight events into my calendar, and those are often not fully sanitized. I'd much rather be confronted with an error when this happens, with an option to ignore and move on, rather than to be left in "offline mode" without knowing it! Please let me know if any more info is needed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Akonadi] [Bug 406917] New: Sync of webdav calendar stuck forever
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406917 Bug ID: 406917 Summary: Sync of webdav calendar stuck forever Product: Akonadi Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: DAV Resource Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: grons...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When akonadi fails to read a calendar event from eg. a Nextcloud/Owncloud remote calendar (or any webdav resource I guess), it will enter a stale state making all other calendar interactions impossible STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Setup a webdav remote calendar in korganizer 2. Be unlucky and end up with an event that for some reason is expected to exist, but it doesn't 3. Register state "Fetching collection (0 %)" or "Ready (0%)" forever. Not possible to get out of that state with "akonadictl restart" or even restart of computer. OBSERVED RESULT DAV resource becomes unusable. EXPECTED RESULT Akonadi should handle the bad state in some way, and move on, letting me use the calendar resource. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS linux 5.0.9-200.fc29.x86_64 kdelibs-common-4.14.38-9.fc29.x86_64 kdelibs-4.14.38-9.fc29.x86_64 korganizer-libs-18.12.2-1.fc29.x86_64 kontact-18.12.2-1.fc29.x86_64 kontact-libs-18.12.2-1.fc29.x86_64 kdelibs-webkit-4.14.38-9.fc29.x86_64 kf5-kdelibs4support-5.55.0-1.fc29.x86_64 kf5-kdelibs4support-libs-5.55.0-1.fc29.x86_64 kdelibs-ktexteditor-4.14.38-9.fc29.x86_64 korganizer-18.12.2-1.fc29.x86_64 Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.14.5 KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0 Qt Version: 5.11.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm running Nextcloud 15.0.7, and have set up the calendar as a webdav resource. At some point, it stopped working, and in Kontact->Settings->Configure korganizer->General->Calendars, the resource is stuck at "Fetching collection (0 %)" or "Ready (0 %)" forever. If I run "akonadictl restart" in the terminal, I get the following: org.kde.pim.davresource: Error when uploading item: 420 "There was a problem with the request. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388440 MartinG <grons...@gmail.com> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||grons...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from MartinG <grons...@gmail.com> --- I'm having the same problem as described by the initial report. I use KMail 5.7.3 on Fedora 27, so it doesn't seem to be fixed in 5.7.1. What I see, is that when I use pagedown (PGDOWN), it only works once. I can sometimes manage to get two pages down by using SPACE once, and PGDOWN once. If i use DOWN, and press PGDOWN, the view will skip back to the place it was before I pressed the DOWN. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[akregator] [Bug 350911] Akregator stealing focus when minimized in tray with frequency equal to fetch interval
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350911 MartinG <grons...@gmail.com> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||grons...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from MartinG <grons...@gmail.com> --- baschie Thank you for nailing this down to Akregator! This bug has been causing me quite some frustration at work the last few weeks. I am almost sure it is related to Akregator as you suggest. I run Akregator from inside Kontact. If I mark all my feeds as read, then mark a single post unread, use key navigation to go to the next post, then back to the now last unread post there is: Press right, then left, I immediately lose fokuse, when Akregator marks the post as "read". Really big annoyance when this also happens every time Akregator updates feeds, and it is really hard to find out what causes the lost focus. I hereby confirm the bug, and suggest to raise status a bit. I also guess this can be fixed quite fast. I can provide more debug info if required. I'm using Linux Mint 17.2 (bug also was in 17.1): akregator 4:4.14.2-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.04~ppa1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 93203] kmail always start when loggin, regardless of session
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93203 --- Comment #8 from MartinG gronslet gmail com 2009-05-06 13:21:54 --- I've seen this problem less frequently after disabling the KOrganizer reminder daemon (ie. make it *not* start on login). Also, I read an interesting comment from Ingo Klöcker [1]: This problem did already exist in KDE 3.5. The problem is that both, KMail and Kontact provide the service DBUS/ResourceBackend/IMAP This is what I've got (Fedora Rawhide): $ find /usr -name '*.desktop' -print0 | xargs -0 grep 'DBUS/ResourceBackend/IMAP' /usr/share/applications/kde4/KMail.desktop:X-KDE-ServiceTypes=DBUS/ResourceBackend/IMAP,DBUS/Mailer /usr/share/kde4/servicetypes/dbusimap.desktop:X-KDE-ServiceType=DBUS/ResourceBackend/IMAP So, whenever an application wants to access an imap addressbook or imap calendar, this will result in kmail getting started (and not the dbusimap thingy). This is pretty consistent with what I am seeing - if I eg. try to syncronize my phone and kdepim using opensync, I get the same behaviour (first, close kontact/kmail): $ msynctool --sync mobile-kdepim Synchronizing group mobile-kdepim libopensync-kdepim-plugin(12827)/kresources Kolab::KMailConnection::checkReply: D-Bus communication failed. Reply error is: QDBusError(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObject, No such object path '/Groupware') Last interface error was: QDBusError(, ) libopensync-kdepim-plugin(12827)/kdepimlibs (kabc): Unable to open resource 'imap address book'! libopensync-kdepim-plugin(12827)/kresources Kolab::KMailConnection::checkReply: D-Bus communication failed. Reply error is: QDBusError(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObject, No such object path '/Groupware') Last interface error was: QDBusError(, ) Member 2 of type kdepim-sync had an error while connecting: Unable to lock addressbook for writing. Member 1 of type syncml-obex-client had an error while connecting: Bluetooth connect error All clients have disconnected The sync failed: Unable to connect one of the members Error while synchronizing: Unable to connect one of the members And KMail is started during this (failed) sync. Moreover (first close kmail/kontact): $ kabcclient -L kabcclient(13037)/kresources Kolab::KMailConnection::checkReply: D-Bus communication failed. Reply error is: QDBusError(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObject, No such object path '/Groupware') Last interface error was: QDBusError(, ) kabcclient(13037)/kdepimlibs (kabc): Unable to open resource 'imap address book'! KMail is again started. (I also tried konsolekalendar --view, but got a Segmentation fault) Now - how should I proceed in debugging/work around this? Should I modify /usr/share/applications/kde4/KMail.desktop to not include DBUS/ResourceBackend/IMAP? [Bug 93203] kmail always start when loggin, regardless of session
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93203 --- Comment #6 from MartinG gronslet gmail com 2009-03-10 15:06:14 --- This was interesting: I logged in, kmail was automatically started, I quit it and then started kopete from a console: $ kopete kopete(3609)/kresources Kolab::KMailConnection::checkReply: D-Bus communication failed. It is kinda really annoying, any hints on how to work around this behavior is appreciated. Also, let me know how I can help finding out the source of this problem. Like in the above comments, I've made sure that kmail/kontact is not running when I log out, but when I log in, kwalletmanager says kmail is asking for permission, and when I open the wallet, kmail starts. I then have to close it, and sthen tart kontact. I too have seen this in earlier versions of KDE. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
