--- Comment #1 from Paul Worrall p.r.worr...@gmail.com ---
I get the same error message when setting folder properties on an IMAP mailbox,
but despite the message the property (e.g. Act on messages in this folder)
does become set, so it seems the error message should not have been displayed.
The full message is:

Account Name: Failed to write some annotations for 'Folder Name' on the
IMAP server. SetAnnotation failed, server replied: A64 BAD Unknown
Command: SETANNOTATION

Bugs 284527 and 284546 are duplicates of this.

[Bug 295214] New: Edits to Image attachments from the Kmail composer window are not saved

2012-03-02 Thread Paul Worrall
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295214

Summary: Edits to Image attachments from the Kmail composer
window are not saved
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.8
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: p...@basilisk.ukfsn.org

Version: 4.8 (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS:Linux

When composing an email with an image attatchment, if I edit the image, save
and close, then re-open the image, the original pre-edit image is shown.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start a new message in Kmail and attach an image file (PNG or JPEG)
2. Right-click the attachment and choose Edit. (Image file opens in Gwenview)
3. Make a change to the image in Gwenview (e.g. Flip the image)
4. Save and close the image
5. Re-open the attachment from the Kmail composer window

Actual Results:
The original image opens.

Expected Results:
The changed image opens

Editing OpenOffice files and plain text files (using Kate) works as expected

When you say in comment 24 ...on opening from kmail,..., are you talking
about opening attachments directly from within received emails? In this case,
documents are opened read-only (at least OpenOffice ones are). This bug however
is about the file permissions you get when you save the attachment to a
stand-alone file (e.g. by right-click -- Save As...). Sorry if I've
misunderstood comment 24.
