[Akonadi] [Bug 363741] akonadi server 16.08.1: crashing every few seconds

2016-10-07 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363741

Interesting detail form Bug 367846:

xapian-check .local/share/akonadi/search_db/emailContacts always crashes with
xapian 1.4.x. However, for me, this check even crashes, when akonadi runs fine
atop of Xapian 1.4.0 (an no search query folder exist)

-> As Xapian 1.2.x seem to be working with akonadi -> Can someone with Xapian
1.2.x confirm that this crash does not occur?

$ xapian-check emailContacts/
Cross-checking document lengths between the postlist and termlist tables would
use more than 1GB of memory, so skipping that check
docdata:
blocksize=8K items=16458 firstunused=277 revision=913 levels=1 root=22
B-tree checked okay
docdata table structure checked OK

termlist:
blocksize=8K items=16458 firstunused=349 revision=913 levels=1 root=194
B-tree checked okay
xapian-check: Unknown exception

[kontact] [Bug 369247] Kontact 5.3.1: settings between Kontact and components (e.g. KMail) are not synchronized

2016-09-24 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369247

sure, this is the example where I observed it first:

1. goto Settings -> Configure KMail -> Composer -> "Reply and forward using
HTML if present" and change the setting to enabeld (lets assume it was disabled
and we have enabled it now / it also works vice versa) and press OK.
2. goto Settings -> Configure Kontact -> Mail -> Composer -> "Reply and forward
using HTML if present". The setting is still disabled.

I have observed, that this is one way only. I.e. you need to change the
components setting first and check the kontact setting afterwards.

[kontact] [Bug 369247] New: Kontact 5.3.1: settings between Kontact and components (e.g. KMail) are not synchronized

2016-09-23 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369247

Bug ID: 369247
Summary: Kontact 5.3.1: settings between Kontact and components
(e.g. KMail) are not synchronized
   Product: kontact
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: till2.schae...@uni-dortmund.de

When running Kontact, there are two setting dialogs:

1. Settings -> Configure Kontact
2. Settings -> Configure  (e.g. KMail)

(2) represents a subset of the options provided by (1).

If one configures a setting in one dialog, the settings are not synced to the
other dialog. E.g. when setting an option in (1), clicking OK, and then
entering (2), the old configuration (configuration state before the changes
made in (1)) is shown in (2). independent of the dialog (1 or 2): the last
applied configuration is always the used one. I.e. the (1) does not dominate
(2) or vice versa.

Reproducible: Always

[kmail2] [Bug 369245] New: KMail 5.3.1: Attachments are included as plain text in forwarded or replied mails

2016-09-23 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369245

Bug ID: 369245
Summary: KMail 5.3.1: Attachments are included as plain text in
forwarded or replied mails
   Product: kmail2
   Version: Git (master)
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: till2.schae...@uni-dortmund.de

For some (not all) mails with (binary) attachments, the attachments are
included as plain text in forwarded or replied mails.

A necessary condition seems to be, that the mail composer is using plain text.
If i reply an e-mail in html format, everything works as expected. The
configuration option "Reply or forward using HTML if present" therefore is a
workaround for this bug.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Reply to or forward an email with an attachment in plain text format

Actual Results:
The binary content is embedded in the E-Mail text

Expected Results:
forward: the attachment stays an attachment
reply: the attachment is removed

here is an example header of a mail, that triggers the bug:

The missing change is directly visible in the local description dialog. After

woohoo. same here, 16.07.80 fixed it for me..

@kdepim-team: did you change anything intentionally or are we hit by luck that
some "race condition" does not occur anymore?

I am also on qt 5.6.1, but i am still facing the problem, regardless of the
field type (to, cc). However, i have also notices some very rare (looks random
to me) cases, where the completion did work.

Frameworks: 5.22

another observation: it seems that the akonadi cache is trunkated somehow. I
now get messages like 7397 new messages in folder send after akonadi crashes,
but there are no "real" new messages in send. Akonadi just seems to loose and
re-download them

   Version: 16.04
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: server
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: till2.schae...@uni-dortmund.de

Akonadi server keeps crashing every fews seconds and restarts itself.

I had this bug before and solved it by dropping and re-creation of the akonadi
mysql database schema. After the drop akonadi worked as expected for 10 days or
so. Now the bug is back again with the same behavior. It happens after an
unclean restart of the computer.

I have attached a debug log from akonadi console (the log was closed a few
seconds after the crash). Please feel free to contact me if you need further
testing. I will keep the crashing instance for some days for analysis requests.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. use kontact and akonadi :-/

[kmail2] [Bug 363027] KMail 16.04.0: Per folder HTML settings are not working

2016-05-20 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363027

cool/THX! I was just checking out kdepim.git to try to fix it myself :-)

Regarding the "load external ref" option: I am not sure if it was there. Maybe
i just was used to it from the contact editor.
Background: I only moved to the per folder settings because of Bug 363024 (both
above mentioned html option were removed from the contact settings).

[kmail2] [Bug 363027] KMail 16.04.0: Per folder HTML settings are not working

2016-05-20 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363027

I have noticed that the html settings (properties of folder -> view -> message
default format) actually do something, but in a wrong way.
If I set this option to "prefer html over text" and click "OK" afterwards, it
is reset to "use global settings" the next time I open the dialog. However, if
I click "prefer html over text" and switch back to "use global settings" and
than click OK, the option is set to "prefer html over text" the next time and
the messages are also displayed in html.

load external resources seems to be removed completely from the folder settings
in 16.04.1

This bug also applies to mails temporarily saved as draft.

I have observed, that the e-mails are saved, but not in the IMAP-Sent folder.
Instead they are saved in "local folder"s sent folder.

[Akonadi] [Bug 355441] DAV Resource 15.12.0: Broken state, The item was not deleted on the server.

2016-02-07 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355441

i have reproduced this with 15.12.1 and davical server. it is always
reproducible. Every single deletion leads to this error.

Error message after akonadi restart is is now: "Error while trying to delete
calendar item. Error was: No items found"

I will create a test account on my server and send you the credentials via
mail. Maybe you can reproduce the error with this account.

[Akonadi] [Bug 358313] New: Akonadi 15.12.1 - IMAP resource: read status sometimes wrong

2016-01-21 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358313

Bug ID: 358313
Summary: Akonadi 15.12.1 - IMAP resource: read status sometimes
wrong
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
  Assignee: chrig...@fastmail.fm
  Reporter: till2.schae...@uni-dortmund.de
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, vkra...@kde.org

I have noticed, that i often have several mails marked as read on the imap
server are marked as unread in akonadi or the other way round. (verified over
akonadi console, not only in kmail) Sometimes even complete directories get
marked unread.

Pressing F5 to update the folder does not resolve the situation in both cases.
Also akonadictl fsck and vaccuum do not resolve the issue. The only workaround
i have found so far is do delete the akonadi cache in akonadiconsole and
re-sync the folder afterward.

This bug occurred since the migration to the KF5 version of akonadi. It was not
present in KDE4.

Maybe this bug is also related to Bug 355966, which is causing my imap resource
to crash every few hours or so.

Reproducible: Always

[kleopatra] [Bug 357934] New: Kleopatra should have a dedicated gpg view

2016-01-13 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357934

Bug ID: 357934
Summary: Kleopatra should have a dedicated gpg view
   Product: kleopatra
   Version: 2.2.0
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: aheine...@intevation.de
  Reporter: till2.schae...@uni-dortmund.de
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, m...@kde.org

I have updated to kdepim 15.12.1 theses days. Previously i have used kdepim
from the KDE 4 series and used KGPG for PGP key management. Since KGPG is not
ported to KF5 i gave Kleopatra a try and was a bit disappointed regarding its
visual appearance of the PGP-Keys. It does not show the relevant informations
as fast as KGPG. ;Many daily use informations are hidden in sub-dialogs.

Therefore, this is a wish for an explicit pgp view:
- having an explicit filter for OpenPGP keys
- allow a hierarchical view for pgp keys:
  -> showing subkeys / identities (i.e. the e-mail addresses)
-> showing signatures for the pgp key (to decide it it may be trusted)
- show a trust level

Reproducible: Always

Kleopatra segfaults when pressing the button "Load Certification" for pgp keys

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Double clock an OpenPGP key
2. Go to the tab: "User IDs & Certifications"
3. Press button "Load Certification (may take a while)"

It seem that there is an infinite recursion (full trace is attached):

This bug was introduces in the KF5 version (I am also quite sure i have not
observed it in 18.08., but it is definitely different in the KDE4 version)-

[Akonadi] [Bug 355426] New: KF5 based KDEPIM/Akonadi 15.08.03 - tags are duplicated on each tag editing

2015-11-16 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355426

Bug ID: 355426
   Summary: KF5 based KDEPIM/Akonadi 15.08.03 - tags are
duplicated on each tag editing
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: till2.schae...@uni-dortmund.de

After migration to Plasma 5 and Allplications 15.08 from KDE4 i see my tags in
kdepim multiple times, i.e. the same tag name is listed more than once.
Deleting the duplicate tags does not help, as the tags duplicate with each time
i add the tag a calendar entry or task.

Reproducible: Always

[Akonadi] [Bug 355441] New: DAV Resource 15.08.3: Broken state, The item was not deleted on the server.

2015-11-16 Thread Till Schäfer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355441

Bug ID: 355441
Summary: DAV Resource 15.08.3: Broken state, The item was not
deleted on the server.
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: DAV Resource
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: till2.schae...@uni-dortmund.de

Whenever I delete a task in KOrganizer 15.08.3 the DAV Resource is broken
afterwards:

The status message is:
There was a problem with the request. The item has not been deleted from the
server.
The file or folder the.domain.of.my.server does not exist. (0).

When I restart the resource in akonadiconsole a message box pops up with the
message "Could not delete ."

Otherwise the synchronization works as expected. I can create new entries and
modify them.

Reproducible: Always
