--- Comment #9 from Torbjörn K. torbjoer...@googlemail.com ---
I can confirm this bug after updating to KMail 4.8.0, KDE 4.8.1 and Akonadi
1.7.1 this morning (packages retrieved through official openSUSE repo for
openSUSE 11.4 64bit).

All my IMAP accounts (GMail and own server) were affected. The content of newly
received emails was empty. As far as I can tell, the headers of the emails were
not affected. After opening an affected email (and thus marking as read), its
content was also deleted on the server (one downside of using IMAP).

After disabling the four default spam-filters in KMail, everything is fine. I'm
using spamassassin 3.3.1.

Luckily, I only lost three emails of minor importance due to this bug. Though,
my client-side spam filtering is not functional any more.

--- Comment #3 from Torbjörn K. torbjoern k googlemail com  2011-11-05

For me, this error also appears unregularly with signed but not encrypted
messages.

Each time, this occurs, I have to confirm this error message twice. If I rehit
send message too early, this error reappears. After waiting two seconds after
confirmation of this error message, the email is sent.

A search for the first part of this error message Could not compose message
points to libmessagecomposer.po, which is finally thrown by
kdepim/messagecomposer/composerviewbase.cpp in line 651.
The second part General Error is the error string of a KJob object.

KDE 4.7.3 rel10
Kmail2 4.7.3
(everything through openSUSE repo on openSUSE 11.4)

akonadi_googlecontacts_resource (0.1) on KDE Platform 4.6.90 (4.7 RC1) release
2 using Qt 4.7.3

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I did some more checks and now I'm pretty sure, how it can be reproduced.

1. Open the Akonadi Configuration window with all the Akonadi resources.
2. select an akonadi_googlecalendar_resource_
3. open the edit dialog
4. close the edit dialog by clicking ok without having changed anything
- crash

It is always reproducible by clicking either Apply or OK. The deletion of a

I reproduced this bug now with Valgrind and it seems, that an instability
occurs when the Settings Window is opened, thus has nothing to do with the
Custom Templates.

I added some comments on what happened in the Valgrind log:

[Bug 274922] New: Birthdays Anniversaries ignores changing language

2011-06-04 Thread Torbjörn K .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=274922

   Summary: Birthdays Anniversaries ignores changing language
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: torbjoer...@googlemail.com

Version:   unspecified (using Devel)
OS:Linux

After changing the language settings globally for KDE, an existing Birthdays
Anniversaries Akonadi resource keeps old language settings.

After deleting the existing resource and creating a new one, the new instance
will have the correct language.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add an Birthdays Anniversaries Akonadi resource
2. Change the language (globally)
3. restart Akonadi
4. everything within Akonadi takes new language except of Birthdays
Anniversaries

KDE (and Akonadi) installed from trunk through openSUSE Repo. German
localisation compiled and installed manually from latest trunk.

New crash information added by DrKonqi

kontact (4.4.10) on KDE Platform 4.6.3 (4.6.3) using Qt 4.7.3

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I'm experiencing this bug every time I manually (or automatically) apply the
filter to mark (unread - not sure about unread) messages as Spam. To work
around crashes during startup I deactivated all filters, but apply them
manually. For this crash it does not matter, whether to filter one or multiple
messages. These are the settings for the mark as spam-filter:

[Filter #17]
Applicability=0
AutomaticName=false
ConfigureShortcut=true
ConfigureToolbar=true
Icon=mail-mark-junk
StopProcessingHere=true
ToolbarName=Spam
accounts-set=
action-args-0=P
action-args-1=sa-learn -L --spam --no-sync
action-args-2=trash
action-args-3=R
action-name-0=set status
action-name-1=execute

action-name-3=set status
actions=4
apply-on=
contentsA=0
fieldA=size
funcA=greater-or-equal
name=Als Spam klassifizieren
operator=and
rules=1

I'd like to attach the filter log but somehow it is not saving the logs. Seems
to be another (unrelated) bug.

New crash information added by DrKonqi

kontact (4.4.10) on KDE Platform 4.6.2 (4.6.2) using Qt 4.7.2

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I've reproduced the bug.

Step 1: open kontact
Step 2: close it
Step 3: open kontact
-- crash
Step 3a: reopen kontact
-- works

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

I've done these steps from a terminal. Here is the output. It might be useful.
(I opened each element (e.g. email, calendar, contacts, etc.pp.) of Kontact
once, when it was running fine (first part).

The error No such XML file /home/myself/.kde4/share/apps/kontact/default-.rc
occures when opening the summary.
