When this draft mail is saved and restored for later editing, it is improperly restored. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a list (using composer Save list.. button) 2. Compose a mail to that list (Using Select.. composer button) 3. Save mail as draft 4. Restore mail from drafts folder Actual Results: restored with 't...@machine.suse.de' for example Expected Results: restored with 'test' as To addressee, to be expanded upon send. KMail debugs that the SpecialCollections could not be fetched. In my Akonadi config my Local Folders agent had no path, hence no SpecialCollections. This is where the selftestdialog appears. About 2 seconds later the database setup proceeds. This confirms that database setup takes longer than the 10s allowed by the self test dialog. This is on average hardware (core2 1.8Ghz, 5400rpm HD) so either the delay before MySQL allows the DB connection is erroneous, or the safety timeout is too aggressive in the first run case.
