Eeerm. I just checked it once more and it works fine. So, nevermind ;)

Yeah, I know about this button. And, as I said earlier, kmail ignores accounts
order, that I specified there.
Or, at least, I don't know how to force it to respect it ;)

Vadim, for your interest: There is a button in Configure KMail -> Accounts,
below the account list, that let's you configure the order of your accounts.
Clicking on the header above the folder list sorts according to your configured
order, switching between ascending and descending.

And also, thanks for your feedback!

--- Comment #5 from Vadim A. Misbakh-Soloviov (mva) ---
in messageviewer (or how that part with list of letters is called) all works
fine (so, reported bug itself is fixed).

But it is related, I guess, issue with accounts/folders list, where sorting
applies in hardly strange way :)

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been
unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still
present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0
or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about
three months.

I'd suggest to rename bug, since KMail2 don't even sort normally with manual
sorting (and it also ignores accounts order from settings)

I notice that this behavior is actually a regression, hence change from minor
to normal. Kmail 1 had the ability to sort columns ascending or descending by
clicking on the column header (I had occasion to use kmail 1.13 on KDE 4.5 and
found it had this functionality)
