Oops. I was running keactrl and was sure running the kea-dhcp4 server
directly did the same thing. But yes, running the server directly runs it
in the foreground, exactly what I needed. Thanks Francis.

bind and ISC DHCP have command line options to not daemonize. Kea servers
have none but don't daemonize (i.e., they stay in foreground without
closing standard in, out and error, nor create a new login session.
So I don't understand what is your problem? (i.e., IMHO there is
nothing to solve).

I'm messing around with building Kea in a Docker container. I was wondering
if there's any intention to enable Kea to run as a foreground process or if
anyone else has a suggestion to make it place nicely with the Docker
process philosophy?
