Hello, 

Further research. 

Should we have AH_CHECK_HEADERS.m4
in /usr/share/aclocal ? I don't find that.

I am building under gnome, not kde.

any help greatly appreciated

'perl admin/am_edit' in the 2nd row is a distinct command. Please try
the compilation without running it, first.
