[libreoffice-l10n] [ANNOUNCE] New strings in Pootle for 3.5

2011-12-15 Thread Andras Timar
Hi,

Today I extracted translatable strings from source code. For those,
who don't use Pootle, I put the SDF file and the POT files here:
http://dev-www.libreoffice.org/l10n/latest-sdf/
http://dev-www.libreoffice.org/l10n/latest-pot/
Please remember this new location, I will not use the ftp.fsf.hu
server any more.

Pootle users only need to wait a bit, Pootle is being updated. It
takes a lot of time, as always. I think it will be ready in 3-4 hours
from now.

Please note, that there is a new module: nlpsolver. Please copypaste
your existing translations from
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/language/extensions/NLPSolver/,
I did not have the time to do the migration.

Also, there are new strings in the English and Hungarian dictionary
module, coming from the Lightproof grammar checker. Feel free not to
translate them, especially the Hungarian, if you think that your users
will not benefit from this module.

I have to admit, that strings from .properties files from the modules
above can be extracted, but at the moment translations are not merged
back. So please don't be surprised, when you don't see NLPsolver or
Lightproof translated. The same applies to NLPsolver help. I hope I
can finish integration work soon, maybe with the help of other
developers.

Best regards,
Andras

[libreoffice-l10n] [ANN] LibreOffice 3.4.5 RC1 test builds available

2011-12-15 Thread Thorsten Behrens
Hi *,

for 3.4.5 RC1, we're now uploading builds to a public (but
non-mirrored - so don't spread news too widely!) place, as soon as
they're available. Grab them here:

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases-3-4/

If you've a bit of time, please give them a try report *critical*
bugs not yet in bugzilla here, so we can incorporate them into the
release notes. Please note that it takes approximately 24 hours to
populate the mirrors, so that's about the time we have to collect
feedback.

The list of fixed bugs vs. 3.4.4 is available here

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases-3-4/src/bugfixes-libreoffice-3-4-release-3.4.5.1.log

, it would be nice to verify they're really fixed in the build.

Thanks so much for your help,

-- Thorsten

If you are unsure, then don't mirror. This is far too short for testing a
build, and the notice came in quite late as well. If you really want
testers, there's no other way to do it than test cases for people
to use.

Shouldn't the people who claim to have fixed them know this?

And when the core developers are unsure, the product is not ready for
the RC stage …

More people should be informed about the existence of the Litmus
installation. In this case I wasn't even aware of it myself, which I
should have been …

[libreoffice-l10n] How does one find specific strings in the po files?

2011-12-15 Thread Donald Rogers

Saluton

When LO starts up there is a splash screen with
Libreoffice 3
The Document Foundation and a progress worm,

and then another splash screen with
Libreoffice 3
The Document Foundation
Text DocumentDrawing...
etc, finishing with
Open...Templates...

Is there any documentation on how to find where these strings are in the
UI po files?
In the Esperanto version of 3.5.0 beta, the strings Open...
Templates... are untranslated, and I have not succeeded in finding
them. I used Pootle to search every instance in UI of Templates and
failed to find any that are untranslated.

Thanks
Donald
