[libreoffice-l10n] Functions from excel addin category
Hi I have a question regarding translation of function names of Calc functions that end with _ADD. In the latest Bugs to fix in translations from Andras there was an error where the following two functions, EFFECT and EFFECTIVE is translated into EFFRÄNTA in Swedish. In reality this results in the two functions EFFRÄNTA (EFFECTIVE) and EFFRÄNTA_ADD (EFFECT_ADD). https://help.libreoffice.org/scalc/SC_HID_FUNC_EFFEKTIV?Language=en-USSystem=WINVersion=4.1#bm_id3154290 Have something changed in Calc so the _ADD part is no longer added to functions that is apart of Excel 2003 addin-package? Should there really be an error in this case? I changed the string in Pootle so that the problem doesn't interfere with the upcoming release. But it feels wrong to change these function names that has been the same for a long time. -- Regards, Niklas Johansson -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Hi, On Tue, Aug 20, 2013 at 5:49 AM, Christian Kühl ku...@libreoffice.org wrote: In German you searched out, that two Calc function names are translated identically, although they are different in English: EFFECT and EFFECTIVE. In Calc the EFFECT function becomes EFFECT_ADD during the EFFECTIVE function keeps EFFECTIVE, so theese functions could have the same translation, since they do the same (only the output number format is different), and they work properly in 4.0 and 4.1 so far. So I would not correct anything in German. You are right, it was a false alarm. I fixed this bug in pocheck tool. [libreoffice-l10n] Is this English string really correct?
Hi I stumbled upon the following string when looking at some checks in Pootle. The context seems to indicate that the warning is about tables being overwritten. Looking at the old Swedish and the German translations that seems to be the message but the English string states: The list was modified without saving. Would you like to save the list now? It makes me wonder if this might be a copy paste error in the English string. Does anybody have any clue to what is correct here? Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Is this English string really correct?
Hi :) if the string is The list was modified without saving. Would you like to save the list now? then that does make sense in it's own right. Presumably the problem is context, ie that list should be table?
