Hi Kolbjørn,

this mailing list is for correspondence regarding language-dependent
themes, a question like that should be posted on a user mailing list,
where more people will read it who might be able to help.

Thank you for your answer.

You are right. My mail was meant for the libreoffice-user list. Sorry
for my miss.

I will try your suggestions tomorrow.

Kolbjørn

But I will answer here now.
I have created forms the way you did many times, without any problems.
I just tried it with LibO 7.5.2.1 on Windows 10, it worked as it
should. I have no idea what is wrong in your case. So I have only some
proposals which might help:

 * Did you close the form window and  open it again not using the menu
item "open", but "edit" (or something similar, I'm translating the
   German texts)?
 * Did you try closing the Base document completely (i.e. also the .odb
file) and then opening this one and then the form document (in edit
   mode)?
 * Try creating another form, to see whether the problems happens
again. (you can simply delete the erroneous form, if you wish to)
 * If you used HSQLDB or local Firebird to create the database, you can
send me the .odb file (directly (or a cloud link), no attachments
are transported in the mailing list), and I can have a look at it. I
assume it contains no sensible data.

Trying to learn about using LibreOffice Base. LibreOffice 7.5.1.2 on
Windows 11.

Following the instruction in the LibreOffice Getting started guide 7.4.

After creating the form using the Form wizard (page 283 ff in the
guide), I at last clicked Finish. The guide says "The form opens in
edit mode". My form looks exactly like the image in the guide (except
translated to Norwegian). But I am not able to edit the layout of the
form. The Form Design toolbar is grayed out except the tool "Open in
design modus", "Automatic focus on control", "New", "Export as ODF",
"Print" and "Search"  (or something similar, translated from
Norwegian). Clicking on the "Open in design modus" make no changes in
the form view or the toolbars. The icon "Design modus" is stil grayed
out.

The Guide says:"Use the *Control Properties*and *Form Navigator*icons
on the Form Design toolbar to open the corresponding dialogs. (You
may need to select a control for the *Control Properties*icon to
become available)"

No help in selecting controls. The tools are still grayed out.

Do I have missed something?

I am able to add data to the form, save it and then load it with the
added data. So the form works.

Is there any (simple) way to activate the tools in the toolbar?
Remember I am a novice in this field, but have used Writer and Calc
for some years.

[libreoffice-l10n] Adding Creole (Republic of Mauritius) in languages list

2023-04-01 Thread Jean-Yves Dick

Hi everyone,

I'm part of an association and we've been able to develop a
spell-checker for the Creole spoken in the Republic of Mauritius (spoken
of 4 different islands). Here it is:

https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/27476

Issue :

On Linux, the language is not listed in Tools - Options- Language
Settings - Languages, but I am able to pick the spellchecher {mfe-mu}
looking in More (Language indication at page bottom).

On Windows, it seems the mfe-MU locale is understood and Morisyen
(Mauritius) is proposed.

On both programs, it cannot be set as default language.

Could you please address this issue and add Creple (Rep. of
Mauritius) and Créole (Rép. de Maurice) in Languages ?

By the way, as from now on, because LibreOffice is the only program
where we have been able to develop this tool, we are actively promoting
it's use among Mauritian public and institutions. We still have an issue
on OpenOffice and it does not exist on MS Word.

Thank you very much

Jean-Yves
