Hello my SP, Wonderfull you parcel arrived just for Easter!! 10 days by mail. What a lovely box in leather. I ever saw someone like it but don't have. I'll put thread on it. The rabbits are lovely : good idea in sweets. The caramel one had a little problem : it looks like a jigsaw so I begin immediatly to eat it!! The over sweet are very good too. I like postcards. So I know a liitle more germany and put the lace postcards in my collection. The wooden bowl for pins is a very good idea. I put it on my pillow and tie up. My friends would be impress by my organisation. Thank you very much for all. I am very happy to have a SP and wait for next month. Dear Secret Pal, Your package came early, and surprised me. Mystery packages are always so much fun. The bobbins are lovely. I think I will use them on the new pillow I just got. I want to start a bookmark pattern on it soon. The pillow is dark green -- just the perfect color to show off the bobbins. Thank you for the beeswax to keep my pricking needles smooth. The notepad will be put to good use. The key fob will take a bit of thinking, and choosing, to find just the right pattern for the lace to go in it. I like a bit of a challenge. Hello Pat, It's was so exciting to find out who my first secret pal was, and thank you so much for the wonderful items. The bobbin is exquisite and I will treasure it forever, the engraving makes it that much more special! Also, the tea towel is stunning and very interesting, as is the postcard. All the facts, what a wonderful place to call home. I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt, it is always hard to lose those someone even when they life a long, full life. I hope your kitchen turns out just the way you want it too, it sure sounds like a lot of work but will be worth it in the end. Your travels sound so exciting, and hope you have a safe trip. I wish I could be going to Denver, but finances will not allow me to go this year. Am hoping to eventually attend a conference, and would love to meet you in person. How exciting that you will be teaching, and owning a supply business will keep you extra busy! Hello Lynn: It is nice to find out who you are, I have really enjoyed your SP packages. This month was also really great! I have always wanted a glass bobbin and a mother child is just an added plus! It is so beautiful! I will send you a picture privately of my pillow with the bobbin and several of the others you have sent. It also has the bobbin pin, what a cute idea! Did you make it? I love the pocket calendar, I needed one for my purse. My really calendar is a daytimer and just too big for my purse, so this will come in really handy. The earrings are great, I've never seen purple hoops like that, I really like them. The beautiful material you included would be perfect as placemats or hankys. I believe that I have some pretty antique machine lace that would make a nice border for each one. When I make my coffee in the morning I will think of you as I drink it. I am very sorry, please forgive for my delay in sending you my THANK YOU for your last and wonderful parcel! It arrived 10 days ago but.. Recently I lost a friend of my age and I did not want to do anything. It a very sad time: we were at primary school together and I have good memories of our youth, at the funeral there were 2000 people, we all love him!!! And more again I had problems with my PC and I was not able to read or send emails. But recently I solved them Thank you Ann!!! My lace equipment is always more important: the pin and the pusher are wonderful, all of my lace friend would have them!!! Thank you for the bath pearls, I really need them to relax Thank you also for the address book and at last..what can I tell you for the special bobbin..my collection is great with that one! dear lucy and clancy (what handsome cats you are !!! ) how thoughtful of you to have your human send me that precious little book on how to train one's pet human . nice being able to check if there was anything i had forgotten over the years . I'll have to take the book with me under the bed so she doesn't mess everything up by reading it you see she's pretty well trained : she opens the window before taking her coat off when she's back from work, i have my meal first in the morning, she freezes to death and has a hell of an electricity bill because i need to have the window open at all times and i always have fresh kitten grass or else i start nibbling her precious house plants... she didn't let me look inside her parcel though .. she was busy looking for orange thingies among polythelene (or whatever..) chips .. strange!! .. she drooled over a frog , inflated a funny blue thing and said it was just what she needed . i overheard her say it was a foot spa !! of all things !! how can anybody in her right mind put her feet in soapy water and enjoy actually, she was absolutely delighted by everything there was in that super box . so give your human a special pat and purr. that box was as safe as Fort Knox or its australian equivalent .. and real fun to browse through can't wait till next month . we'll know who she is . purrrs othello To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

dear secret pal good news: i went to the post office this morning to get my parcel from Australia bad news : it was open and when i checked with the list you had written on the green label the ornament was missing and also probably the card :i had the CD ( fantastic . i'll take it with me to my office . it'll add the touch of nature needed to make work tolerable ) the note pad with its gorgeous soft coloured frog , the pencil , the little book of calm (very useful . i'll carry it in my pocket to have a quick look when needed .. VBG) and the three skeins of cotton thread .(such pretty colours) ... it seems i shouldn't have taken the parcel but sent it back to sender so you could file a complaint on your side of the planet ... it wasn't the same clerk behing the counter when i went back to the post office to say something had been stolen and she nearly accused me of cheating .. i came out fuming ... but i live in a part of town where some people make a living out of such things so . she wasn't entirely wrong ... i have kept the envelope . if you need it just tell me and i'll post it back .. this makes me wonder whether the July envelope will reach me at all ... but it doesnt matter . i know it left Australia and you didn't forget me .. the Post Office is not what it used to be .. a lot of thanks again wondering what september is keeping in store for us ... hugs dominique To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Dear Secret Pal in California You go under a variety of names but I think all teh packages have been sent from CA. The March package arrived today, a little late but worth the wait. The needle case and mini book are delightful. I think I'm beginning to go into a sewing phase, so they will get used, though really they are more for slip into the handbag for emergency use. The best bit is the little reel of old thread. I've been looking at it very closely and decided that it is linen; and about as fine as linen gets - unless you come upon some hand spun 18th century thread, which I have only ever seen made into lace. I've measured it as 2S 44 wraps/cm and I'm just about to update the Addendum2 list on my website. Even allowing for it being very fine it does feel a bit week in places so I've dampened it a little and hope it strengthens it a bit. A lot of old thread suffers from having been kept in warm dry conditions, though I understand California gets quite humid during the summer months. Thanks for all the goodies, and I look forward to learning your real identity soon. hi a secret pal from Australia ! .. swell i nearly lost the pewter frog that was cheeky enough to jump out of the bag with paper and all ... i love it !!! i guess i had that particularly idiotic grin one has when really absolutely delighted ... .. I put it near my turtle made from a Mexican seed (offered by another SP and much treasured ) .the bandana is beautiful and the fact it is to help teens with cancer makes it even more precious , the cards are oh so pretty and the exlibris etiquettes are just what i needed for my lace books .. i'll keep a few of them to show my lace friends of course dominique who's impatiently waiting for next month ... argh!! forgot the Santa ...much appreciated too . you didn't know i had a Santa collection too did you ??? you must be a psychic somehow.. i started buying Santa candles and stopped when they all started to look the same in all the shops. i just love those that look chinese .. lol .. something in the eyes ... i checked and they were indeed made in China .. I got a wonderful package from Austrailia. I got the cutest little platypus, a bee garden poke, rose soap leaves and a yummy candy bar. It had honeycomb in the middle. It was the hit of the package . it was great fun opening these nice little elf coloured green parcels ... i still can't get over the fact there is english lavender lol i had always thought lavender was only grown in the South of Europe !! the smell is gorgeous and as i intended to buy shower gel it couldn't be better timed.
