does the map show visitors or users (e.g. people interacting sensibly with the 
forms on the website)?

A substantial part of requests from some of the countries, e.g. Russia, might 
be due to bots.

The map comes from piwik which uses a Javascript snippet (+image if 
Javascript is disabled), so it will only count real users, as most bots 
are not advanced enough to run Javascript.
