Re: [LegacyUG] Re: Use of stylesheet CSS
Sherry, the problem has been resolved and it is working as expected. On the Misc tab (under Web Page Creation) you can enter custom HTML code that will be included in the HEAD section on every page Legacy creates. Last option. I have entered following: LINK REL=stylesheet TYPE=text/css HREF= http://www.rvader.nl/Vader/CSS/sumi.css; It is now includes the link to the CSS file. The problem was that I forgot to tick this.. So Legacy can work with CSS files! -- Vriendelijke groeten, Rob Vader 06 5058 9079 On Fri, Apr 19, 2013 at 9:08 PM, Sherry/Support she...@legacyfamilytree.com wrote: I don't see it as an option in the Web Page Creation Options. There is entry window under one of the tabs when generating internnet pages where you can incude HTML code to be included on every HTML page. RE: [LegacyUG] synchronise databases
Mark, Bottom line, I'm not aware of any genealogical program that supports true synchronization, i.e. copying *updates only* from the database where they are created to other linked databases. What is your situation? Do you have multiple researchers collaborating on a single project, or is it a single user (you) trying to keep multiple computers (e.g. desktop and laptop) up to date? If it's multiple users (I'm assuming it is since you mentioned Intellishare), I can see why you would not want to use Dropbox since you have to be very careful to prevent user A from overwriting User B's updates. Just too dangerous Legacy's Intellishare is the best option I know of for having multiple users update files without worrying about what other users are doing and then merging the results. Other than that, I think your only option is some kind of centralized online file such as an Ancestry member tree, but you lose a lot of features (e.g. virtually no reports) that way. If it's just you updating multiple computers, then I don't know what the objection is to Dropbox or one of it's cousins. Paul Gray From: sci...@outlook.com To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Subject: [LegacyUG] synchronise databases Date: Sun, 21 Apr 2013 12:03:21 +0800 With ver 7 is there some way I can do true synchronisation of the legacy database without using intellishare or something like dropbox? I am NOT looking for a solution such as dropbox or drive which simply copies the entire database from one place to another. I know there is Intellishare but this seems very outdated. To, in my case, have to merge two databases back to a master and then copy the updated master back to the other two computers (manually) seems ridiculous. Surely there is some genealogy program that does real synchronisation. For me, this one feature far outways many other fancy features that I never use. If Legacy does not support synchronisation, is there any other program that does? [LegacyUG] Missing Multimedia Files
I have printed a list of the missing multimedia files and worked on it until I am down to a single full page. Is there a way to delete the remainder so that they don't appear again (unless I change the address in the future)? The pictures appear to be there and the blank space indicating a missing picture does not appear. I corrected the other missing pictures by browsing as indicated to find the picture but I do not understand what Legacy is looking for. Any suggestions, thoughts, etc., will be appreciated. I am using Vista and Legacy 7.5.0.112.
