Re: [LegacyUG] Date on Family Sheet

2016-06-20 Thread Cathy Pinner

Willie,
Then you need to properly change the Label options in Family View. It
sounds as if you'd chosen something else for the Birth Date/Place and
you've just changed the Display name back to birth rather than re
choosing the right Field Name.

Click on a label and choose customise.
Then on the line you want Birth information click the 3 dots button and
choose Birth Date/Place.

OR just click on the Defaults button to get all the Default labels back.

Does that help? I am assuming that the birth dates aren't showing for
anyone.

Just a thought - if nothing is showing up in that rectangle in Family
View - no death dates either, have you been playing with colours so that
the text is the same colour as the background?

Is Legacy 9 coming? If so, will include Unicode or at least the same special
character map used in MS Word?

I was about to close Legacy 9 when I decided to change the Ribbon Style.
It changed but I got a series of Individual # was not found errors.

I tried again by going to Design Font and changing the Font size.
Again the series of errors.
Clicking OK on each one and I've ended with Error 0 as in the attached
image.

This was in the Sample File after I'd been playing with Hashtags.
A Check/Repair doesn't report any error.

Re: [LegacyUG] Date on Family Sheet

2016-06-20 Thread Brian L. Lightfoot
I'm confused. If you've entered a date then you are already in the Family
View...no need to return to it. Unless you are saying that you seemingly
entered a date elsewhere in the program but then checked on the Family View
where it doesn't show up. Or else you might be say that when you "returned"
means that you exited the program and now can't see the date that you
entered. In which case I'd make sure that you are operating on the same
family file each time and not unknowingly working on several versions of
what you think is the same family file.

We need more clarification of what is happening.

Re: [LegacyUG] Source Detail Picture

2016-06-20 Thread Leon Chapman
It is up to you. I have found that most pictures attached to a source when
printed in a report are too small to print or view clearly.

I would suggest you attach both pictures and then generate a descendant report
with sources at the end and see what it looks like. If it works for you, then
great.
