Re: [LegacyUG] Moving events
Thanks for the tip Brian about not deleting the event on the wrong person before pasting it on the correct person. I might have deleted while I was still in the wrong person thinking I was being efficent then move on to the correct person. Re: [LegacyUG] Moving events
You can use the Event clipboard but you will have to do it one event at a time. Go to the wrong person and display their event list. Select one of the incorrect events and click edit On the event screen you will see a copy event to clipboard. Click it to copy the event (and its sources). Go to the correct person and open their events Click Add then use the paste from clipboard to add the event to them, save Return to the wrong person, select the event you just copied Click Options and select delete from the list. NOTE: Do not delete the event before you paste it to the correct person. The event clipboard only holds a pointer to the event so if you delete the event before pasting it on the correct person you will be deleting the event clipboard contents as well. Repeat above steps for all the incorrect events you need to move. Re: [LegacyUG] Moving events
Terry, Use the Event Clipboard. You'll find the copy and paste icons on the Add/Edit Event form It pastes what is in the event you copied at the time you paste so you'll have to go back to delete them. [LegacyUG] Moving events
I have just entered 16 Events before I realised they were under the wrong person. Apart from the hard way of writing them all into the correct person and then deleting them from where they are now, is there an easier way?
