Re: [LegacyUG] Relinking media Problems and questions

2019-02-28 Thread Mark Kurt
Hi Michelle and thank you for taking your time with me. For whatever
reason, last night it started searching where I told it to rather than the
C drive. Seems to be working fine now.

Thanks again,
Mark

2019-02-27 Thread Mark Kurt
Hello again. My C drive is not checked in the "Drives to Search" pulldown
menu. Only my drive "F", which is what I want. Nothing that I can see is
pointing to my C drive yet, that is the first place Legacy goes for
relinking. No one else has this problem?

Thanks,
Mark

I believe that I have unchecked the "C" drive everywhere I could find,
including "Drives to Search", but will check again when I get home.

Thanks!

[LegacyUG] Relinking media Problems and questions

2019-02-27 Thread Mark Kurt
Hello,

Lost my main computer and am in the process of trying to relink my
documents (jpg, gif, etc). My first problem and question goes like
thisWhen letting Legacy 9 search for my missing media on it's own, it
always starts on my "C" drive. I have nothing there and as far as I can
tell, I do not have any libraries/sources pointing to my C drive. This
wouldn't be too bad except that during the media search on the "C" drive,
Legacy freezes up and I have to do a three finger salute to close it out
and start it again. This is a Windows 7 computer by the way I saw a Legacy
page with instruction on this for Windows 10, didn't apply to me, so I
passed it by.
Can someone tell me how to stop Legacy from searching my "C" drive?

My second question also pertains to relinking media, though I manually
search for it. When I relink a media file to a sourced event, is there any
way to have Legacy relink the same media file to other events that use the
same source? It is a PITA to have to go through and manually relink a jpg
to multiple copies of the same source.

Thank you in advance for any help here.

Mark
