Re: [LegacyUG] Copying Files
Susan, You are subscribed to a mailing list. You will get copies of all messages sent to the list. That is how a mailing list works. There is no choosing which messages you want to receive and which you don't. [LegacyUG] Copying Files
The original message to the list is in the attachment. This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages without conversion to attachments should use a different email address for their subscription. Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.--- Begin Message --- I have two computers: a desktop and a laptop. When I use my laptop, I would like to copy and update my files to my desktop by using a flash drive. I have been trying to follow the instructions in my Legacy 8.0 Family Tree guidebook and the website information. I am unable to download (copy) the files on the flash stick. Can someone help me with this. Also, once it is on my flash stick, how do I overwrite my files on the desktop. I have the deluxe edition of Legacy. Thank you so much for help.
