Re: [LegacyUG] Copying Files

2016-03-14 Thread Ron Bernier
Susan,

You are subscribed to a mailing list. You will get copies of all messages sent
to the list. That is how a mailing list works. There is no choosing which
messages you want to receive and which you don't.

I am shocked to see this! I did not send a message to this group. I am a
member and do read the emails and find them useful, but I have not sent any!
This is strange!

Sorry for being so dense, but how do I find that particular thread on FB?

I have searched: download files, desktop and laptop, copying files,

Can't seem to get the right answer.

Thank you

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require
this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email
providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.

I have two computers:  a desktop and a laptop.  When I use my laptop, I would
like to copy and update my files to my desktop by using a flash drive.   I have
been trying to follow the instructions in my Legacy 8.0 Family Tree guidebook
and the website information.  I am unable to download (copy) the files on the
flash stick.  Can someone help me with this.  Also, once it is on my flash
stick, how do I overwrite my files on the desktop.  I have the deluxe edition
of Legacy.  Thank you so much for help.
