[LegacyUG] links in Legacy 8 not working
Hi, Hope this is where I come to find out if the links in the research guidance are still supposed to work. Was doing some checking out at research guidance on the Legacy 8 program and found that a link on the suggested sources on the Goal: Birth tab for Boyd;s Marriage Index, 1538-1840 has a link that cannot be found!!! Are links from the program supposed to work or is it just there for looks? *Boyd's Marriage Index, 1538-1840: *This index, compiled from copies of parish marriage registers, Bishop's Transcripts, and marriage licenses, lists over seven million English marriages performed from 1538 to 1840 in over 4,300 different parishes. The index lists the names of the couple, the parish, and the year of the marriage. Once the index information is obtained, you can search the original parish registers. It is not complete. Learn more about this resource by clicking *_here _* I clicked and it came up with 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Can some one let me know about this please? Thank you for stepping in. Most forums have guidelines regarding double and cross posting but as far as I can see this list does not. Perhaps a modification to the LUG rules might be in order to try to ensure this doesn't happen again. David On 20/12/2013 14:53, Sherry/Support wrote: I've responded to Kim off list. Re: [LegacyUG] links in Legacy 8 not working
OK just to set things straight. I was not receiving any LUG emails. So I did not know my email had been posted 3 or 4 times let alone know that anyone else had posted any questions or bugs about the links not working. It's always nice to know after the fact that putting I'm not sure if this got to the list could of avoided being set apon by rude snarky people but I was notified by Michelle on the 18th letting me know that I had been manually added to the list and to let you all know I was not notified then that my question had been sent 3 times. If someone had answered in a civilized way and let me know about the other postings then all would be right with the world, but no, people had to belittle me and make me feel like I was being bullied on Facebook by 12 year olds instead of mature minded people and believe me I deal with criticism everyday due to my position so I have broad shoulders. Thank you to Kurt for the only decent answer so far without sarcasm or rudeness. My last words on this subject ever again.
