[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65331] Changing default animation direction in Impress

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65331

Not sure if this enhancement is still active/scheduled however, in association
my requests are that it would be good if a user is able to:

1) Set the default animation to be used. Currently the default is Appear, On
click, Delay 0.0sec. I would like to be able to set it to Fade In, On Click,
Delay 0.5 sec. (Or any other setting depending on the most frequently used for
the specific presentation.)

2) Able to apply default animation to numerous items (not grouped) with the
same animation settings. For example, a list of text items inside a text box
on a slide is highlighted by activating the text box border and adding to
animation. The default animation applied to the group is Appear, On click,
0.0sec. You are unable to change the group setting and must drop the list in
the animation sidebar settings and change each individual item, negates the
group animation function.

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Dear ape,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125979] Export to eps file format work, but open no

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125979

I don't think we'll ever support eps reading, it's just a horrible format and a
reason that pdf exists. PostScript is actually a language, which means we would
need a language parser and interpreter just to read and draw the damn thing. To
make it editable is pretty much out of the question.

Created attachment 152320

shortened valgrind log of the crash

So I can also reproduce the crash in my Ubuntu Bionic chroot with qt
5.9.5+dfsg-0ubuntu2.1. As you can see in the valgrind log Qt deletes the
Qt5Object, but still delivers events to the Qt5ObjectWindow, as this is
actually a child of the Qt5Frame.

So we have to acknowledge deleted Qt5Objects, while the Qt5Frame is still alive
keeping the Qt5ObjectWindow around. Interesting that this doesn't crash with
newer Qt versions...

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123774

The problem here is that the data series has NumberFormat property, so the
following lines will always pick that up:
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/oox/source/export/chartexport.cxx?r=1b26a6e7#3008
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/oox/source/export/chartexport.cxx?r=1b26a6e7#3086

Perhaps it would be better to check the state of the actual 'Show value as
percentge' checkbox, and take the respective number format based on that...
just an idea.

Will that replace the stable version or does it install alongside the stable

Anyway, I came to believe this is the real issue underlying the problem:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-screenshot/issues/41.

That's not to say LO is doing a good scaling job here, but it's a 2x reduction
so I can't really blame it. Google docs is doing a better job but on mobile the
images still look like cr*p.

tdf#11: Bin apparently unnecessary early return

Removing these few lines of code fixes the problem on iOS, and has no
apparent ill effect on macOS. But sure, I didn't check that thoroughly
on macOS, so in case this has a bad effect on macOS after all, need to
reinstate the few lines but make them #ifndef IOS.

(Still passes make check.)

Resolves: tdf#108209 let auto fill handle double click stop at existing data

Also consolidate the code to take both, left and right, data areas
into account, still preferring left if it exists.

UI tests opening all possible dialogs

2019-06-20 Thread Artur Neumann
I've made some UI tests that open every dialog in calc, close it with
the "close" or "cancel" button and if there is an "OK" button open it
again and click the "OK" button

These tests should simply make sure there are no crashes by
opening/closing the dialogues and protect against regressions like
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120227
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125982
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125985

I just wanted to have some feedback if picking those low-hanging fruits
is a valid approach and worth the effort and CI time.

If yes I could extend the tests by:

 1. doing the same for writer, impress, etc.
 2. delete obsolete tests like uitest/calc_tests/about_test.py
 3. define preconditions for the "OK" click, e.g. input data into fields
 4. define assertion after the click on the "OK" button

Thoughts? Ideas?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126029] New: FORMATTING: Table colour background corrupted on table properties dialogue opening.

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126029

Bug ID: 126029
Summary: FORMATTING: Table colour background corrupted on table
properties dialogue opening.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.6.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: st...@edmondsfamily.co.nz

Description:
Table background colours that have been formatted are cleared or overridden
when subsequent table formatting is applied and the background tab has been
clicked but not edited.

After some testing this is dependant on the state the dialogue is in when OK is
pressed to apply the background colour and close the dialogue.

The dialogue opens with the same tab active as when the OK was pressed. If the
background tab was active (formatting the background) then next time the table
properties dialogue opens, regardless of the cells selected, what ever shows by
default in the background dialogue will be applied to all the selected cells.

The same occurs if you open the table properties dialogue with another tab
active and click the background tab. Without making any changes what shows will
then overwrite what exists. Current settings are not retained until a change is
made, like in the borders tab.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a 3x3 table in writer
2.Apply a background colour to the top middle cell and exit the dialogue with
OK.
3.Select all cells and open the table properties dialogue.
4.Change the table border formatting and save.

Actual Results:
The background colour of the previously formatted cell is removed.

Expected Results:
The background formatting should remain.
Background formatting should not be applied unless a change has been made in
the background settings (as occurs with the boarders dialogue)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Also dependent on what cells have background colour formatted, the result is
different if the complete top row was formatted with a background colour.

Work around:
1.Change to the table properties tab before clicking OK.
2.Do not touch the background tab unless you wish to make a change to all the
selected cells as what ever happens to show in the dialogue by default will
then be applied to the selected cells.

tdf#125754 sw_redlinehide: avoid recursive layout in SetHideRedlines()

During SwLayHelper::CheckInsertPage(), SwRootFrame::CheckViewLayout() is
called, which may change the size of the view, which causes a
StartAction()/EndAction(), therefore layouting the frames existing at
that point, which moves some content onto the newly created frame, but
CheckInsertPage() expects to find only SwLayoutFrames on it and crashes.

Also consolidate the code to take both, left and right, data areas
into account, still preferring left if it exists.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cuyan...@uottawa.ca

Description:
I would love to see a Morph transition in LibreOffice Impress, kind of like in
the latest version of PowerPoint, Prezi, and Keynote.

In PowerPoint, the Morph transition allows you to animate smooth movement from
one slide to the next. It takes into consideration objects from the previous
slide which are repeated, and animates the change.

Here's an explanation and video:
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/use-the-morph-transition-in-powerpoint-8dd1c7b2-b935-44f5-a74c-741d8d9244ea

This effect can also be seen in Keynote, under the name Magic Move:

gdb bt

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce the
crash.

I attached the whole console logs (including bt) because there are lots of
warns which may be related.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126016] falla en la ayuda de la estructura función "SI" al usar paréntesis en la zona de valor si verdadero

Google translate (I don't know if it's accurate or not).
Description:
if I nest some comparative function like "Y" or the function "O" or "XOR" as a
logical condition in the "if" function, and if I open a parenthesis in the
value "if true", it re-enters the comparison function , the formula works, but
it is visualized as if it were inside the comparative function, I tried with
the functions "Y" "O" "XOR", I have not tried with other functions but I assume
they have the same problem

Steps to reproduce:
1.write for example this function = yes (y (a1> 0, b1> 0), (10 * 20), "")
2. When clicking within (10 * 20) what should be the "if true" zone in the
structure of the formula appears as if it were inside the "Y" function
3. The operation is fine of the formula, but the help or the structure that
appears as a help is as if it were inside the "Y" function

Actual Results:
the operation is fine of the formula, but the help or structure appears as if
it were inside the "Y" function

Expected Results:
If I use parentheses in "value if true" despite using parentheses it should be
kept in that part of the structure of the "yes" function, the "Y" function
should not appear again because it is already closed

5.2.7 is EOL, could you give a try to a recent LO version (6.2.4)?
Also, could you explain in English for the next time.

Dieter: for Linux, https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/
concerns more those who want to package LO for their distrib.
Unless you want user to manage dependencies himself.

JamesCobban: try a more recent version by using LO ppa repo (see
https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa)

sw comments: allow ranges to be created which cover only the placeholder
char

First, the old condition was a bit tricky: it wanted to avoid the case
when only the placeholder character is covered, but given that start and
end can be the same for collapsed ranges, this was true for comments
without a range, too. In practice what remains blacklisted is just the
case when the PaM has a mark, but it's the same as the point.

The change has two motivations:

1) ODF can have '...', where
'...' may be content which has no document position itself in the Writer
implementation, like at-char anchored images. This change avoids loosing
the range of such annotations during ODF roundtrip.

2) This starts adding support for comments on objects which don't have
an own document position, though UI for that is still missing.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 125931] Implement the Sidebar in Math formula editor, with decks for format options and Greek and special symbols

2019-06-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125931

--- Comment #16 from Roman Kuznetsov <79045_79...@mail.ru> ---
Ok, we can remove from Sidebar all Spacing options and all Relative font size
options.
Scale all brackets option should be move to Math Options dialog, I think

In this case we can get all main formula format options together with Symbols
on one section in Sidebar (see version 2 mockup in attach)
