https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84036 Priority: medium Bug ID: 84036 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FORMATTING: Copy/Paste breaks conditional format ranges into many small range fragments. Undo wont fix this. Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: mich...@wyraz.de Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.2.6.2 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a conditional format for a range The Conditional format list contains now exactly this entry 2. Copy the contents of one cell in this range to another (CopyPaste) or do some other CopyPaste actions 3. Look at the conditional formats The Conditional format list now contains lots of entries for several parts of the range (which in sum give the range). 4. (additional bug) Then undoing the copypaste action, the contitional formats remains fragmented. Expected behavior: CopyPaste within a conditional formated range must not change/split the range. Paste with (only text/numbers/...) selected into a conditional formated range must not change/split the range. Pasting content with different format may fragment the range. But undo must revert this. Best solution would be some automatism that merges multiple conditional formated ranges with the same conditions and formats to a single range. This should either get triggered after each change that would otherwise change the ranges. Alternatively it's a button in the conditional formats list. I've been able to reproduce on a new document, add a page number field somewhere convenient like the header, and then adjust indent with the ruler sliders. Actually the bug seems to change effect (for me anyway) depending on what is already typed when the indent occurs. If there's nothing else on the document besides the page number fields, the page numbers get offset by -1 (so the first page becomes 0, the next 1, etc.). If there's some content first, the page numbers all become 1. In this release of Libre Office if you order a table in the linked tables on another sheets is changed the formulas, in earlier versions calculation formulas remained unchanged and so it was possible to automatically obtain a sort of linked tables, what now no longer possible (attached a sheet of example: ordering with a macro the list of the first sheet for the column N.posto, before you ordered tables on other sheets, it's now no longer possiboile). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 34212] Accented Characters and Umlauts are missing with Type1 fonts
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34212 --- Comment #4 from e...@gruene.de --- I found the solution to this. In vcl\source\gdi\pdfwriter_impl.cxx the Line 3494: if( !pFont-IsSymbolFont() pEncoding == 0) must be changed to: if( !pFont-IsSymbolFont() ) Reason: Without the pEncoding check - /Encoding/WinAnsiEncoding\n is added to the pdf file font object which is correct. pEncoding specifies that a ToUnicode stream has to be generated (and it is) and nothing speaks against it because it is only a translation table and doesn't affect the encoding itself. For symbolic fonts WinAnsiEncoding would be wrong because they have there own encoding shipped with. I don't want to upload this myself because I don't intend to do more on libreoffice and it is to tiny to go through the git/gerrit upload process and making a patch for this. So please someone else do this, I don't want any rights on that code submission. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36867] [EDITING] Not currently possible to undo wrong autocapitalization in Calc
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36867 --- Comment #6 from Kevin André hyperquan...@gmail.com --- I have tested with LO version 4.2.5, and the capitalization indeed does not happen anymore after an abbreviation. But that's not what this bug was about. The core issue here is that any automatic change done by Calc to the text you write in a cell (like capitalization) is NOT added separately to the undo stack. So you cannot undo the automatic change without also undoing the text you typed yourself. For example, in some cases Calc will capitalize the first letter of a cell. If that's what you want at that time then okay, fine. But if the capital letter is not desired, you cannot simply press 'undo' to get the small letter back. Because 'undo' will undo much more than that; it will even erase the cell completely if you typed the text all at once. The correct behavior would be to add the user input and the automatic changes as separate steps in the undo stack. Right now they are still combined into one single step. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The families of the stylesheets are appended to the name of the family for further usage. An encoded string looks like STYLE_NAME|3 The family is then extracted by copying the first (length-6) bytes, e.g., STYLE_NAME in this example. Then another copy starting a position 1 is created, e.g., TYLE_NAME. This string is cast to an Int32. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78156] FORMATTING: RFE: Custom Slide Layouts
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78156 --- Comment #7 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- Would like to suggest a means of how to implement this. In the properties sidebar panel, we create a new section called 'Custom Layouts', which will list layouts that are outside of the standard 12 layouts. When empty, the section will have an blank entry with a '+' sign in it, symbolizing that the user can press that button to add a new custom layout. When the new button is pressed, impress goes into 'create new layout' mode and a prompt appears asking the user whether to use the current displayed layout as the basis of the new layout one or to start with a blank layout. Once they have chosen their preference, a 'create new layouts' toolbar will appear, if not already visible, with the following buttons :- 1) Create Layout 2) Add AutoLayout Text 3) Add AutoLayout Bullet or Object 4) Discard Layout 5) Save Layout Note: If the toolbar is visible and impress is not in 'create new layout' mode, buttons 2 to 5 are disabled. Once the user is finished with the creation, he can either discard the layout (button 4) or save it (button 5). If he/she decides to save it, a dialog appears asking them to name it. Once named, a suitable thumbnail showing the layout is prepared and added to the 'Custom Layouts' section. After the layout is saved or discarded, impress exits 'create new layout' mode and the toolbar is hidden if it was previously hidden. Once a custom layout is added to the section, a user should be able to right-click on it and the context menu has options to rename, delete, and export. It would be great if a user was able to set what exact type of content will be placed in the each 'AutoLayout Bullet or Object' (ex. bullets, table, chart, image, sound/video), as after all it is a custom layout that a user is building. It would also be useful for a user to be able to import custom layouts, so that customized layouts could be shared with others and this could also spur up a new section in http://extensions.libreoffice.org/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83867 --- Comment #3 from Mirek2 maz...@gmail.com --- As a person who used a netbook with a pretty small screen, I have to say that vertical space was never a problem. Is this a problem that you're experiencing, Gitsy? What screen height are you working under? Anyway, your suggestions are very Windows specific -- integrating with the title bar and changing the menu bar isn't always possible on other platforms and I doubt it would be easy with our toolkit. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 83830] SIDEBAR: Proposal for the creation of a page tab
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83830 --- Comment #3 from Mirek2 maz...@gmail.com --- I'll comment on your second mockup (https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/attachments/download/211/Proposal-page-2-mod.png), which I prefer. I'm sorely missing page styles, which should really be the highlight here. A button offering to update the page style when it changes (a la styles in Pages: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73071#c17) would be great. Orientation makes more sense as a button, as it's binary. I'd prefer Paper Format as a category heading rather than Format. Format could apply to any of the properties, the Paper part makes it clear what it's about. I don't think Others should be a section -- try to organize it. I'd suggest to put Layout, Columns, and Numbers (called Format under Layout settings in LibreOffice) under a Layout section. I'm not sure about Background. Is the background printed with the document, or does it just imply the color of the paper to print on? If it's the latter, then I'd suggest Paper Format. Then again, since you didn't include all page properties, I'm thinking Background is one of the least important items to include. I wouldn't include it, at least not in Writer. Lastly, I think designing a one-size-fits-all Page panel is suboptimal (e.g. not all modules have page styles). I'd suggest to look at each module individually and propose one for each (keeping the same structure, though). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
