https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82238 Foss f...@openmailbox.org changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #6 from Foss f...@openmailbox.org --- Emir, not sure what to make of this. I agree that that is one outdated dialogue. But I've never seen it because for me LO uses native dialogues by default - which it absolutely should. After check Preferences - LibreOffice - General, and see if relevant checkbox is ticked and ticking that option, I then see that ugly dialogue. But for me this is not a problem, as long LO defaults to show native dialogues. So WORKSFORME. Please correct me, if you disagree or if I missed something here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82238] Get rid of LibreOffice Open/Save dialog and use only platform native boxes
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82238 --- Comment #7 from Emir Sarı bitig...@openmailbox.org --- I'll explain. Actually it's about changing LibreOffice design and development language, nevertheless, it's still a very small step. LibreOffice's long term aim should be getting rid of all cross-platform elements, streamline its code, and serve to folks in the native ways of their operating systems. So why there is a need for a separate LibreOffice dialog box, when OS's provide one? Get rid of it, get rid of some ugly piece of code, simplify settings dialog box, and bingo! So some will argue, it's FOSS, it's all about choice bla bla. Yeah, it's about choice, some might compile a version of their own with the ugly dialog box if they want it too much. It's already late for LibreOffice to take radical design decisions, 4 years, and still no roadmap, nothing. So let this be a small step in that direction. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82238] Get rid of LibreOffice Open/Save dialog and use only platform native boxes
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82238 --- Comment #8 from Foss f...@openmailbox.org --- Emir, while I'm totally with you, after discussion on IRC with sophie and jphilipz, they both brought up reasons with use cases for this options. So worksforme it is. I basically are often 100% for leaving out options and going with good defaults. But if there are edge cases even requiring this option to be active, leaving it out is not possible. So let's stick with defaulting to off. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
