Re: svg export
I opened my document with Inkscape 0.46. And then exported to Cairo PDF. The main problem is that I can't install the .otf fonts in Windows: the font file is maybe dammaged... The attached svg file renders only some lines in my Inkscape or Firefox... I'm going to test it with Ubuntu 8.10. thanks for your help! I think some fonts are missing... Windows refuses to install the .otf fonts of Lilypond. Is it a reason ? Did you try manually installing the fonts in Windows? You might have to. On GNU/Linux, you can put copies of the OTF fonts in ~/.fonts and then run fc-cache. I see this PDF was created with Cairo. Did you print to PDF using Firefox? As far as I know, Firefox does not read the `style' attribute for any element in an SVG document. I've done numerous tests, and the only way I can get LilyPond's SVG output to render decently with Firefox is by using standalone style attributes (like font-family=...) instead of bundling everything into a style attribute. I plan on fixing this in the future. When you manage to install LilyPond's .otf fonts on your system, see if the attached SVG file renders correctly for you. It renders decently in Firefox 3. I would also recommend testing with Inkscape. -Patrick ___ lilypond-user mailing list lilypond-user@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
Re: ugly .ps output
PDF Creator is correctly interpreting the .ps output of lilypond, but Scribus can't import it whithout mistakes... I think the problem doesn't come from Lilypond, but from Scribus's interpretation of Postscripts... Re: ugly .ps output
You're right, I can import pdfs. But it's more difficult to optimize the size of the picture: you have to specify in lilypond the exact size of the musicsheet in order to avoid blank spaces. ___ lilypond-user mailing list lilypond-user@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
svg export
I'm a quite new user of this so really good software. I'm trying to obtain a svg ouput with Lilypond, but it seems to be impossible. Can someone teach me the synthax in order to have a svg file in ouput ? Re: ugly .ps output
I would like to import musicsheets in Scribus. The only way I found is export a .png file with Lilypond, and import it in Scribus. But I think that a .ps importation would be a better solution: less space and better quality. I put in attachment an exemple of a .ps output (converted in .png by Scribus). Some lines are missing, the quality of graphics are not so good as in a pdf file. What's the problem ? ps export, import filters, ??? thank you for your help. attachment: ps exemple.png___ lilypond-user mailing list lilypond-user@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
ugly .ps output
I tried to use the .ps output, but it's not so good as the .pdf one. It's the same thing under Windows XP or Ubuntu 7.10. Do you have any solutions ? François ___ lilypond-user mailing list lilypond-user@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
