Re: Lilypond-book with included files in LaTeX

2009-03-08 Thread Wolfgang Mechsner
Hi John,

thank you so much for you help. But the solution - oh no - very
simpel: lilypond-book needs obvoiusly the whole path:

\input{/home/wome/LatexProjekte/klavierharmlehre/BuchI/preambel}

So it works :-)

Have a nice sunday

 I use lilypond-book this way all the time, with many \input files.  I seem
 to recall having trouble at some point, getting an error saying something
 like output would override input file, and the problems were solved by
 using a .lytex extension instead of .tex on all of the LaTeX source files,
 even if they didn't contain any lilypond code.   Your description it
 doesn't work is sort of vague, but if you're not already using .lytex as
 your file extension, you might try that.  If that doesn't work please send a
 more detailed description of what happens when you try to run the files.

Re: Lilypond-book with included files in LaTeX

2009-03-07 Thread Wolfgang Mechsner
My (lilypond-book) files have always the extension *.lytex.

But if my *.lytex file has some included files like

\input{preambel}

the shell command output is

! LaTeX Error: File `preambel.tex' not found.

If I compile the same file as a normal LaTeX-file (*.tex) it works fine!

Thanks

 I fixed your example a bit (without changing):

 \new Score \with {

   defaultBarType = #
   \remove Bar_number_engraver
 }
   \context Staff {

 I would use:
 \override TextScript #'staff-padding = #5

 but the texts are still not perfectly aligned (because of their up-extents
 differing).

 there should be a way to have them aligned on the text baseline. But I don't
 know it (yet).

 another solution would be (ab)using lyrics:
 \new Score \with {
   \override TimeSignature #'transparent = ##t
   defaultBarType = #
   \remove Bar_number_engraver
 }
   \context Staff {
 \time 4/4
 c' e' g'1 c' es' g' \bar||
 des' f' as' cis' e' gis' \bar ||
 d' fis' a' d' f' a' \bar ||
   } \addlyrics {
 \markup I \markup Im
 \markup{\flat II} \markup{\flat IIm}
 \markup II \markup IIm
   }

Re: Umlaute in \header

2005-12-15 Thread Wolfgang Mechsner
The mystery was indeed in the .emacs file. The following setting

(standard-display-european t)
(set-language-environment 'Latin-1)

contradicted the utf-8 setting:

(custom-set-variables
  ...
  '(current-language-environment UTF-8)
 '(default-input-method rfc1345)
 '(global-font-lock-mode t nil (font-lock))
...
Thank you a lot for your solution!
Wolfgang.

Am Donnerstag, 15. Dezember 2005 12:27 schrieb Mats Bengtsson:
 It's certainly no surprise that your problems started when you changed
 from 2.4 to 2.6, since in version 2.4 you could only use latin1 encoding
 (or plain ASCII), which means that LilyPond could only handle western
 European text, whereas in verson 2.6 you can only use UTF-8 encoding,
 which means that LilyPond can handle almost any language in the world.

 Maybe you have some setting in your .emacs file that prevents the
 multi-language support (MULE) to work correctly. For example, in my
 .emacs, I had a setting
 (setq-default enable-multibyte-characters nil)
 which prevented MULE from working correctly. Uncommenting that
 line solved the problem. An easy way to see if your .emacs is a problem
 is to run Emacs using 'emacs -q myfile.ly'.
 If you add the following lines to the end of your file, then Emacs will
 automatically use the correct UTF-8 encoding:
 %%% Local variables:
 %%% coding: utf-8
 %%% End:

 Are you sure that you clear the $LANG environment variable in the same

 It seems to be some problems with the translations to local languages
 in lilypond-book. The bug has already been reported to the lilypond-bug
 mailing list and waiting for that, you can get rid of the problem by
 doing
 unset LANG
 or
 export LANG=en_US
 which gives the default English warning and error messages but should
 solve your problem.

   This is a known bug that is fixed in the CVS; the Python script
 which is lilypond-book is missing import tempfile near the beginning.
   If you are feeling courageous :) you can make the change yourself;
 just add the line

 import tempfile

 at the end of the first group of import statements, after import
 string. Be sure to make a backup copy of lilypond-book before editing.

Chordname: Dominant without 'add'

2004-09-12 Thread Wolfgang Mechsner
Lilipyond 2.2.2

I would like to have a chordname like G13. Lilypond writes
G9add13. Is there any chance to a simple G13 without add?

Thanks for help!

It is a bit embarrassing: I used mup2ly with the file extension

1. In a piano score I would like to have the chordnames above the
