[linux-dvb] AF901x Driver (USB)
Here is Afatech's (Taiwan) newest driver for the AF901x DVB-T tuners. It is available for download from the Digittrade web site: http://www.digittrade.de/shop/info/stick_treiber/linux/Linux_MT2060_2.6.20.tar Digittrade, who sells DVB-T sticks with the Afatech MT2060 and AF9016 chipset, wants to support the Linux community and has released the driver under GPL. The driver contains among Afatech code some linuxtv code modules. It builds and works fine. Only there might be conflicts if some dvb modules are already loaded because of other sticks. Manu, I asked Digittrade about the licensing. They stated that they received the code directly from Afatech and that they have been tasked to integrate it. They claim that they have it at their disposal, so they support the Linux community. Some code files lack the header, nevertheless the kernel modules state GPL. So far as I can tell. Here the details: Chipset: af9016 Tuner: MT2061 lsusb: Bus 001 Device 014: ID 15a4:9016 have the same device (usbid) but it is from turbosight and the chip is an af9015 with tuner mt2060 Distro: Ubuntu 7.10 kernel 2.6.22-14-generic on x86_64 I downloading the 9015 driver from: http://jusst.de/hg/af901x/ I change the VIDPID to 15a4:9016 for trying to load the driver (well only change the PID for be exact. not enough, think this version don't attach the mt2060 tuner (it loads mc4 something) And that it my dmesg when plug: [ 5753.790501] usb 1-2: USB disconnect, address 13 [ 5755.697290] usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 14 [ 5755.773230] usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 5755.773479] af9015_usb_probe: probing for a AF9015 [ 5755.773483] af9015_usb_probe error -19 [ 5755.775372] input: Afatech DVB-T 2 as /class/input/input16 [ 5755.775407] input: USB HID v1.01 Keyboard [Afatech DVB-T 2] on usb-:00:0b.1-2 think error 19 is no such device - there is a 'bug' in the device table configuration in af9xxx? I haven't /dev/dsp* in my dev, i think that the problem when driver trying probe.
