Hi Juri,

sorry, aber ich verstehe immer noch nicht was du mit den git
submodulen willst. Du kannst mich gerne mal anrufen, vielleicht ist
das am Telefon besser zu erklaeren.

In short it's like a nesting doll for git. It was developed for use of
external software in own git project and easy contributing back to
upstream.
In fai-config context it can be just a means to an end.
What do you worry about to split it out?

I don't understand what this does. But, I'm not a git expert
and never used the submodule command of git.

Hi Thomas,

it's no needs to split config to separate debian package. I mean
something like

git clone --recursive https://github.com/gratuxri/fai-split
cd fai-split
git submodule foreach git pull origin master

And
FAI_CONFIG_SRC=https://github.com/gratuxri/fai-simple-config#master
or something like that for direct install from git.

submodule was added with:
git rm -r examples/simple
git submodule add --name simple-config ../fai-simple-config examples/simple

regards Juri
