Re: 2.6.11-rc3: intel8x0 alsa outputs no sound
Try muting the headphone jack sense control with alsamixer. I had the same problem with rc2 on my t41p, and that solved it. -nld - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/

intel8x0 and 2.6.11-rc1
I am running 2.6.11-rc1 (patched with software suspend2) and no longer get any sound output from my sound card. My old kernel 2.6.10 (with slightly older software suspend 2 patches) works perfectly. the hardware is recognized, and it appears to work, other than the lack out of output. I have also checked the standard volume levels type stuff. Updating to the latest alsa bk patch (from 2.6.11-rc1-mm1) doesn't fix it. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be? my .config is attached. thanks.. -nld .config Description: .config

If it's "uhci", please try "usb-uhci" instead. I have tried both uhci drivers and get 2 different results. If I use uhci, the process trying to access the audio device is killed with an oops. If I use usb-uhci, the swapper is killed and the system is gone. I am not really sure how to intrepret this. -nld - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
system hang with usb audio driver
Hi, I have been having problems with the usb audio driver on a set of Philips DSS330. The driver seemed to work properly up until 2.3.99-6. The driver included with 2.3.99-6 worked correctly when included with kernels up to 2.4.0test6 or so. The current driver (2.4.0test7+) will hang my system reliably when I access the audio device. The kernel detects the device correctly, the system comes up correctly, I login and the system dies when I start up xmms. Is there a newer version of the driver than the one in the kernel or usb cvs tree? thanks..
Is there a newer version of the driver than the one in the kernel or usb cvs tree? thanks.. -nld - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
