typematic rate

2007-09-14 Thread jeg

I have a small problem with DOSEMU running under Ubuntu 5.10 running under
VMWare on a 64-bit AMD machine running FC6 (don't ask...). The automatic
key repeat rate AND the cursor blink rate are very high--the blink rate
is merely annoying, but the automatic key repeat rate is deadly--it makes
navigating in text files almost impossible. I have not found any way
to configure this in DOSEMU. The rates in the parent Linux are fine,
so it is not a problem with the virtual machine's bios. Any help or
suggestions would be most welcome.

thanks

Apologies. It is controlled by _X_blinkrate; the VMWare clock
is crazy fast, which is the problem, but setting the blinkrate
to 50-ish does the trick.

sorry for the spam.
