If that lpr comes from CUPS, no, because that doesn't have any useful options, only the PPD-defined printer parameters (which however should have a copies option). If you are using KDE you could set up vim to use kprinter instead of lpr. Kprinter allows you to specify multiple copies to be fed to CUPS. -- Sincerely etc. Christopher Sawtell
