Re: openoffice text combos
I am trying to figure out the openoffice key combo, if there is one, to edit (not write over) text in a cell in a spreadsheet. I can't stand always having to use the mouse every time I want to edit text in a cell. Tried pressing the F2 key? Wayne
Re: [OSTC] Setup - Help Required
I have an old (very old) Brother Laser Printer that I will bring in. The rollers are a bit smooth though, so it doesn't pick up paper very well. Does anyone know how to fix this? Go and find someone who does offset printing. Take a little bottle and ask for 50ml of deglazer. Pour deglazer onto an old rag and wipe the roller, quickly, because it evaporates fast. Volia! Roller is no longer smooth and now has a nice grippy rubbery texture. Works on old fax machines, too. Wayne
Re: POP vs. IMAP - Was Re: OT: Good, Free, POP accounts.
Hi Wayne, Very good comment; using telnet on the POP port is good for low-bandwidth connections, and it also is a good way of playing with POP and getting acquainted with the matter. The interactivity, however, comes from telnet, and not from POP in this case, if I understand it correctly? I would have said the interactivity lay with the POP3 server as it responds to the commands I feed it via telnet. Whatever the case, I find it very handy to be able to do it. http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/pop3telnet.htm showed me how to do it. Wayne
