[ILUG-BOM] Login Problem with KDM
I am facing login problem with KDM. I am not able to login with KDM as well as XDM. But login through Virtual Console is working fine. I tried log in with other username. But that works only with XDM and not KDM. I reinstalled KDM but no go. I even tried removing ~/.kde but still same problem. ~/.xsession-errors shows only one error Failed to start SCIM What can be the problem? Is ``httptunnel'' solution to hide private IP ? No idea. I use MTNL ADSL so it does it naturally through NAT and routing. So, did you try freeing up some space from your home? Anurag -- There was KDE-4-Live-opensuse.iso I removed it. 645 MB Freed. But now when I try to login I get only ``Konsole'' the KDE-application. and nothing else. I tried starting different GUI apps from `konsole' but failed. Finally I tried ``FluxBox'' Worked! [ILUG-BOM] Can not login in KDE
I am Debian Etch user. Last day onwards i am not able to login in KDE ( GUI ) with normal user. but console login was successful. I created new user but stilll not worked. I enabled ROOT login by editing /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc. hello all of you i am abhishek. student of PGDIT University of Mumbai. we are glad to have nice faculty for teaching GNU/Linux like Dr.Nagarjuna G and Mr.Anurag Patel. i started enjoying linux because of them. using windows for now i want to build my carrer in GNU/Linux only. well i want 100 marks examination for Linux and not 50 marks. :-) we use ubuntu dapper 6.06 now a days in our labs. but at home i am using Debian Sarge 3.1 stable.
