Re: Media Request from PC retailer
I would say give them lots of CDs. They are very well placed to get them in the hands of lots of people who are interested. If they sell them for a small fee then fine, they are charging for the service of keeping them on expensive shelves. Alan. On 26/06/12 14:53, Marcus Moeller wrote: Hi all. Hi, We have also received such requests. We gladly offer them old CDs if we have some left and point them to the Canonical store for the latest release and for larger quantities. Re: Media Request from PC retailer
Quick thoughts off the top of my head. I think this should likely be taken on a case by case basis... The purpose of the CDs is to expose people to Ubuntu... and giving them to a local retailer would assist with that. At the same time we do not want a retailer to depend on 'free' Ubuntu CDs for ever... but perhaps as a starter so they can determine viability would be good. Perhaps offer to hold an event at their location as well if they are interested. Charles Marcus Moeller marcus.moel...@gmx.ch wrote: Hi all. I would not mind continuing to produce the document as well... I think we need to ensure we define the scope of the document as well... it was rather broad if my memory serves me correctly.
