Even in English there are hundreds of Google hits for Takashi
Tsunoda, but try kana つのだたかし. His group Tablatura has
several CDs too.
I count around 30 CDs in a quick glance at his website: http://
www.linkclub.or.jp/~dowland/
He really deserves to be better known outside of Japan.

 Dear all

Thanks a lot for all names. Some points:
 - I like to take only the modern players (without our fathers
 Bream, Ragonssnig, Dombois, Schäfer etc.).
 - The recordings should be easily to obtain.

After checking all your names on the web, I made this new list:

 Ariel Abramovich
 Anthony Bailes
 Robert Barto
 Paul Beier
 Timothy Burris
 Michel Cardin
 Björn Colell
 Andrea Damiani
 Michael Dücker
 Eduardo Egüez
 Eugène Ferré
 Pierre Gross
 Jan Grüter
 Oswald Hebermehl
 Joachim Held
 Jacob Heringman
 Yasunori Imamura
 Konrad Junghänel
 Edin Karamazov
 Lutz Kirchhof
 Jakob Lindberg
 Rolf Lislevand
 Massimo Lonardi
 Andrew Maginley
 Viggo Mangor
 Ed Martin
 Evangelina Mascardi
 Ronn McFarlane
 Pascal Montheilet
 José Miguel Moreno
 Nigel North
 Pat O‘Brian
 Paul O‘Dette
 Toyohiko Satoh
 Miguel Serdoura
 John Schneiderman
 Karl-Ernst Schröder
 Hopkinson Smith
 Richard Stone
 Terrell Stone
 Stephen Stubbs
 David van Oijen
 Christopher Wilson
 Crawford Young
 Yerzy Zak
 Christian Zimmermann

I can't take more names - I think, there are more then enough names
to find something to hear on the net... or to order.

 Thanks for all!

 Andreas

I don't own one, and I'm a huge beginner, but I wanted to mention that I'm
going to be buying a lute, too, and while I was searching through
different
luthiers, I didn't find any lutes that looked as beautiful as those of
 Luciano.

When you look at the Phalese-Teghi late 1540s there is some 6th course

Well, as you perhaps know, already Dalza used a couple of scordaturi that
could be interpreted in the same way...

All the best,

I've only seen a few of those publications. My
impression is that they are rather elementary. By the
way, they may still be in print. The distributor of
Robert Lienau publications is now Wilhelm Zimmermann in

[LUTE] da Milano editions

2006-10-20 Thread Davide Bioccoli
Hi to all,
I'd like to buy a facsmile of work by Francesco da Milano,so I've found
some, searching through the net, at http://www.saulbgroen.nl/.
But does anyone know the differences between Intabolatura da leuto del
divino Francisco da Milano novamente stanpata and the Intavolatura de
viola o vero lauto of 1536, because the former seems to be dated as
earlier of 1536 (and seems to have less recercares; anyone knows the
#ness recercares included in the two versions?)
Thank you all,

Davide
