[LUTE] Re: live lute performances recorded with a zoom h2
thought the performance overall was very nice. Fluid runs from both performers and the phrasing was nicely handled. I liked the fact that - unlike so, so many lutenists - they weren't overly careful to the point of turning it into an exercise and brought some energy to the piece. True, Igor. Massimo Moscardo, who plays tiorbino for this Alpha cd, is a name that sounds very, very French indeed ;-) ! [LUTE] Re: live lute performances recorded with a zoom h2
The Archlute played by Beatrice is with double strings... and if she is teaching in France, she is living in Italy (Verona) ... (I know very very good italian lutenists, as well as french ones, for example Eugene Ferré) I don't think there is any reason to say french are better or italian or anyone else. (what about Hoppy, american in Switzerland, Rolf, norvegian in Italy, Sting, englishman in New-York (oups sorry) ;-))) V. - Original Message - From: igor .
