 Unfortunately I think they're only building the new kernels for
 Maverick; the lucid ones are like, 2.6.35-rc1, whereas the maverick
 builds go up to -rc5. :(

 Follow the Ubuntu guild to building your own kernel instead; it's not
 hard, and will get you a kernel built for the right distro.

I am trying to reproduce the problem on my system with the same kernel 
but it does not occur.
