Typing in LyX extremely slow / produced high X server load
Hello, I noticed that typing in LyX sometimes becomes incredibly slow (it takes approximately 1s per character). top shows in these cases a very high Xserver load: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEMTIME+ COMMAND 5310 root 20 0 460m 450m 12m R 95 11.3 49:24.01 Xorg 706 root 20 0 000 R 17 0.0 181:51.20 flush-8:0 7223 rdorsch 20 0 291m 81m 33m S4 2.0 19:50.77 kwin 20076 rdorsch 20 0 136m 70m 21m S3 1.8 3:07.05 lyx Restarting LyX solves the problem for a while. I think the problem comes suddenly, but so far I could not find out what exactly triggers the problem. I think the problem might be caused by LyX, but CPU cycles are actually spend in the X server. Is there anything I can do to track down the problem?
