Making an argument with numbered premises and a conclusion.
In writing a document, I often need to write out an argument with numbered premises and a conclusion. The best I can figure out for now is to use the description code to label the argument, then nest in numbered premises and the conclusion. The problem with this is that the conclusion doesn't stand out. How could I have a horizontal line between the premises and conclusion, or a therefore symbol before the conclusion?

How to import into lyx.
Hello: I have been using lyx to creation documentation. Now, I would like to include a section which is generated programatically. I see that latex has the /input{file} construct, but I do not find an equivalent in lyx. I do see the one-time insert/file capability, but that is not what I want. I want the input to take place at the time when I generate PDF or HTML. Thanks. Bill

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have selected the "Here definitely" option for all the tables. Don't use this option until your document is ready to be printed! The problem disappears when I uncheck the "rotate sideways" option for tables 6 and 7. However, I must have them rotated sideways. Can someone please help?! Rotating floats is somewhat special. This and the possibilities to influence the float placement is explained in detail in the EmbeddedObjects manual that you find in LyX's Help menu. regards Uwe
