Unable to import LaTeX files in LyX 1.5.3
Hi, I am using LyX 1.5.3 on Windows XP. My problem is that I cannot import any LaTeX files. I get the following error message: An error occurred whilst running tex2lyx -f foo.tex foo.lyx However, with LyX 1.4.4 on the same computer I can import the same file without any problems. With LyX 1.4.4 I use MikTeX 2.5, and for LyX 1.5.3 I have tried both MiKTeX 2.5 and MiKTeX 2.7, with the same problem for both versions. Bug report here: http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4503 Any hints on what to do? Andreas _ Mörkt och kallt? Kanske Barcelona? http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=Barcelona+reseguideform=QBRE

Difference between \vskip and \vspace and implementation in LyX
Dear list members, What is the difference between the LaTeX commands \vskip and \vspace? I can access the \vspace command from the menu, but I haven't found the \vskip commande there. Is it not implemented? Regards, Andreas _ Senaste nytt om Paris och Lindsey http://starlounge.msn.se/

Using apacite with other styles than Article (APA)?
Hi, I am writing an article where the references should be in accordance with the APA system. I therefore want to use the apacite Bibtex style. In LyX I have only succeeded in using apacite with the Article (APA) layout. What should I do to use apacite with other article classes? Line break without resulting in a ragged right margin?
Hi, Using Insert Special Formatting Line Break results in a line break with a ragged right margin, i.e., the line is not justified to the right. Is there a way in LyX to insert a line break without this resulting in the line not being justified? In Scientific WorkPlace one can use Insert Spacing Break... Linebreak gives the result I am asking for, but I do not know how to get this result in LyX. Is it possible? If not, I hope the developers can introduce this very useful function. Andreas

How to write integrals with limits forced to be above and below?
Hi all, I would like to write integrals with limits forced to be above and below the integral sign, as in the first example of the attached figure. How do I do this using LyX? I can't find any button in the Math Panel the performs this task, is there any? I have only suceeded in writing an integral with the limits to the right of the integral sign, as in the second example of the attached figure. Thanks in advance, Andreas K. integrals.png Description: JPEG image
