Now, several lists add a list identifier at the beginning of the topic (e.g. [List] Title). What do you think, would such an identifier make sense for this list? Finding and replacing quotes
Hi, how could I find (and replace) quotation marks in LyX? I have selected wrong type for quotes and now I should replace all quotes :( I have tried to use the -character in find-dialog, but this does not work. I also have tried to copy-paste the wrong quote but it does not work, either. Any ideas how to solve this? Thanks in advance, Kimmo

haven't You?

Well, what I mean is that most of the bibtex styles are written for English text. So they will format entries according to the English spelling. In order to change this - i.e. to localize Your bibtex style - one must edit the .bst file and change all English abbreviations etc. (and - of course - use this style in the document, too :) ). Hi, it is possible to redirect the output of a lyx function in a variable? Background: I would like to have the words count shown in my document, but I cannot figure out how to do this. Hi, how can I disable change tracking? I have tried to select the (ticked) menu entry (Document-Change tracking...-Track changes) but it can be disabled. I have quit LyX - no help. Multiple bibliographies endnotes
Hi, does anybody know a workaround (or even better, a solution) for combining endnotes with multiple bibliographies. There are no problems when using endnotes with a single bibliography (I have followed the instructions in the LyX WiKi). But each time I try to use several bibliographies, there is an endnote section in the output, but it contains no references, just question marks. I have tried to implement multibib and bibtopic, but it did not work either :-( Any ideas/workarounds? Thanks in advance, Kimmo

is there any possibilities to prevent lyx from resetting the counter of
enumerated lists when several enumerated lists appear in different
sections? What I am looking for is the possibility to have a
continuously numerated list separated with section titles, i.e.:
a) Section a

...
Any ideas how to make this happen? I have tried to insert the following

Hi,
I am not sure if some has had this problem before, but I encountered
difficulties when using the endnotes package with lyx and did not find
any answers on the LyX WiKi site describing how to use Jurabib with LyX.
The core problem was that although I had inserted \usepackage{endnotes}
in the preamble, references inserted as footnotes still appeared as
footnotes in the final output and an ERT containing \theendnotes
resulted in errors. After studying both the Jurabib documentation and
TLC2e (both giving no direct answer to this question either), I tried
out inserting \renewcommand\footnote{\endnote} into the preamble - and
now everything works.
I think this issue should also be described in the LyX WiKi. Or am I
missing something?

Maybe You should take a look on chapter 12 in The Latex companion (2nd ed.), where You can find several possible solutions. From my point of view, the core problem is that both Lyx and Latex are used by a minority of all document producers. Thus, the perspectives for making money by developing packages and styles is not very promising (even if the users were ready to pay for such solutions). The consequence is that users encountering problems, limits etc. must find proper solutions by themselves. Hi, 2006-06-05 18:46 +0200, Ares: As I wrote in a previous post, I would like the references of my PhD thesis to be arranged as follows: References Articles [Art1] article1 [Art2] article2 etc Books [Book1] book1 [Book2] book2 etc etc ... LyX 1.4.1 supports sectioned bibliography, so it is possible to split the Bibliography chapter in sections. In order to have the citation as [Art1] and [Book1] etc, I need to hack a bst file, as suggested by Jürgen. I had a look to plain.bst and it doesn't sound so easy! In the end I would just like to add a prefix (Book, Art etc) to the reference numbering and to use a separate bst file for each entry (Books, Articles etc), so that the numbering starts with each section. Actually, this is an issue related to the \bibitem command in the .bst file. However, adding a text before the number is a bit tricky...
