Re: Working with multipart documents
Hey all, I have followed this thread with interest. However, working with the comment style didn't work right for me. My solution is the following: in the master.lyx file, I include following in the preample: \newcommand{\onlyifalone}[1]{} in all the subsequent chapter files, I include \newcommand{\onlyifalone}[1]{#1} in the preamble. When including the BiBTeX reference in each chapter within this \onlyifalone command, it seems to work fine. Of course, after inserting all references, I just delete this references section ... but it feels awfully wrong to do. Just insert a "Bibtex Reference" as a comment at the end of each chapter. --Nabil e-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] PGP fingerprint: 17C6 528E 3018 F44A 596B 203B B344 9377 BD6D 3B64

First, open all the files in question: let's call them A and B in a two file example, where B is included in A. Let's say you insert a label in A, then want to reference it in B. Switch to A, then select Insert-Cross-Reference. Now switch the document to B without closing the cross-reference popup. Insert the cross reference and you are done! When you preview file A, everything is properly included and labeled. If you accidentally close the popup, then reopen it while you are in B, you will only see B's labels. This whole procedure is perhaps a bit counterintuitive (it has even been called a bug), but it does work. jan -- +--- Jan Goebel (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) DIW Berlin Longitudinal Data and Microanalysis Knigin-Luise-Str. 5 D-14195 Berlin -- Germany -- phone: 49 30 89789-377 +---
