seeing the sick constantly can certainly do that to
 a person. which isn't of
itself a bad or good thing, but it must be
 acknowledged that not everyone
 wants to be (reminded)
Their discomfort at being reminded of the ultimate end
and the is poor excuse for heaping more difficulty on
those who are already suffering. Such people are
egocentric and selfish in the extream. Such people are
uncivilised.

However, sometimes people in pain can be
 disagreeable
I agree. They often become more disagreeable when the
people around them add to their discomfort and
inconvenience by acting out their fear.

I am 72 and have clients who are in their 60s who
still want to get rid of the pain. I am amazed at
their strength to get through the  negative and
therefor value and respect themselves. The negative
people around them have to make some changes too.

regarding sickness:tamara, you are one side of the coin, the other is much more...something.this something is, people do not want to be reminded of the(ir) frailty. seeing the sick constantly can certainly do that to a person. which isn't of itself a bad or good thing, but it must be acknowledged that not everyone wants to be (reminded).

I must say I was surprised to read that.

I have cared for sick people. While I am normally
squeamish to see certain illnesses in movies or to

of a human being who is suffering I feel compassion. I
do the best I can.
The same when my friends have gone through break-ups
in their relationships, I am patient and caring. Never
occured to me that someone would react differently.

However, sometimes people in pain can be disagreeable.

acute awareness of our

partners separating reminds us of the hardest weakest

relationship. For me, the Fragility and the ambiguity
of life are frighteningly intolerable alternating with
exhilarating, as is walking on

cards, being in a hurry passing the wispy glass
sculpture.
