[maemo-developers] Nokia 770 CPU speed
Hi Is there a utility to read the processor speed? Or if you have the register details which can be accessed to determine the speed - that would be of help. Thanks Vanitha ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers

I'd say it is correct: the lib packages are not supposed to be visible in the Application manager. They are considered part of the system, like libgtk2.0 etc. Spoiler alarm: The Application manager can be put into a mode where it treats all packages as user packages, regardless of their section. It's a hidden setting, but should not be hard to find... Also, I am getting this idea of adding a dir:// method to apt that will treat a random directory full of .deb files as a repository, creating the Packages file etc on the fly... maybe this already exists. ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers

Re: [maemo-developers] regarding the gwconnect api once more
kurt ak [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: So, the service needs to be started just to see if it's available?? I don't understand, why do you need to see if btsdp is available? If you need it, just send the request and D-BUS starts the service for you. And as far as using gwconnect in scratchbox, I wasn't sure if it used the hciX device or not if there was one up and running. I _think_ that btcond needs to be root. So you would have to play with suidbits or something similar to get it working inside scratchbox. -- Kalle Valo ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers

[maemo-developers] DUMMY connection with script attached?
Hello, is it possible to set some script for dummy IAP to execute that brings up my custom network? Or is there any other custom type for this? Currently I first need to open dummy connection ( http://maemo.org/maemowiki/DummyIAP ) and then run script that configures network (bluetooth PAN). It would be nice to automate this and run my script automatically when such 'dummy' connection is opened from the GUI. If it is not possible it would be a nice feature to add so we can have any custom type of network.
