bluetooth keyboard and phone at once?
A friend asked if you can use a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth to cell phone net connection on the 770 at the same time. I've never used the bluetooth feature on my 770, so I wondered if anyone else could answer his question? -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
Re: [maemo-developers] Frustrating power downs...
but other times I've just found it in the off state when I know I left it on, and the batter still had a charge. It would help to know which sw you are running: is it vanilla or are you using a custom set of packages? It doesn't happen too often, but 90% of the time I'm probably running just fbreader in full screen mode when I slide the case on. I have installed xterm, vim, ssh, and a few other apps, but mostly I use fbreader and the web browser. -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
Re: [maemo-developers] Frustrating power downs...
I am wondering if this is a hardware or software fault? Does anybody else see this happening? Are there any hints on what might be tha cause? And especially if this can be fixed? I too have seen mysterious power downs. So far I haven't been able to detect a pattern. Sometimes I've plugged it in to recharge and when I came back and opened the cover it had powered down. I wonder if a surge or static shock might cause it in this case, but other times I've just found it in the off state when I know I left it on, and the batter still had a charge. -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
Re: [maemo-developers] neat device

Re: [maemo-developers] Buy 770 accessories?
Hi! Is Nokia thinking of selling 770 accessories too? Some friends and me would be very interested in buying additional metal sleeves for case modding experiments. Some would like to add a whole to the case so that one can get out the stylus even with attached sleeve. Some other (like me) would like to build any kind of holding device (for car, desktop, whatever). For example I would like to mount one of the sleeves fixed into my car so that I can simply slide the device in and have it securely attached everytime I enter the car... I'd also like to be able to get an additional cover to mod with a belt clip. Or better yet, a cover made with a belt clip. -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
[maemo-developers] fbreader
I've gotten fbreader working in scratchbox, but I can't figure out how to add a book. When I clicked on Add File to Library the first time, it showed me /home/chris, but there were no files to select, only .. After hitting .. twice, I was stuck at root. There is nothing in the list now, so I can't navigate back down. Am I missing something or is this part not ready yet? This is one of the main programs I plan on using when my 770 arrives, so I'd like to help out on the development/porting effort if I can. I haven't found any contact info for the developers, however so I was hoping they might be on this list. -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
[maemo-developers] application startup problem
I'm trying to get the scratchbox environment set up following the tutorial. I've got xephyr running, and I run af-sb-init.sh start It works, but instead of displaying Home I see home_ap_home_name. I've got LANGUAGE=en_GB is there something else I need to set to get the right strings? The bigger problem is when I go to run an application using the task launcher menu, I get: maemo_af_desktop[18350]: We could not read lowmem page stats. osso_initialize() WARNING: if the system bus activated this program, Libosso does not connect to the session bus! Xlib: connection to :0.0 refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified even though my scratchbox environment has DISPLAY exported (set to :2) before I run af-sb-init.sh start Is there somewhere else I have to set DISPLAY? -- Chris Bare [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
