On working tablet mount rootfs again to some other directory (to get rid of other filesystems mounted on top of it) and create rootfs image of it. Than the linux flasher (flasher-3.5 for Fremantle) should hopefully flash it. Or at least that was it with previous devices that use jffs2 filesystem. Are those of any use at all? close but most probably no, /dev/mtd5 looks like the correct one see dmesg output here http://pastebin.ca/1610167 lines 47-75 and 154-159 So maybe, just maybe, flasher could flash copy of /dev/mtd5 as rootfs. I am following up from a suggestion by pycage in this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=32734 Basically, I am looking for either a complete firmware image for the N900 or, plan B, for a way to extract one from another device(*) Any takers? My GPG key has a decent amount of signatures in case you want to be sure it's really me before sending out anything. TIA, Andrea.
