 Hi there,

I'm trying to sync my kontact addressbook with googlemail's contacts.
There is a howto on kde userbase:
 http://userbase.kde.org/Working_with_Google_Contacts

It beginns with the instruction to install akonadi-googledata.
But we don't have such a package (at least in Cauldron).
Is that software included in some other package or don't we provide it?

 Oliver

Hi!

When I open my Akonadi tray settings I can add Google contacts as a resource.
Didn't you
have such option?

To be honest, I didn't try...

I began to google first.
And now after building that akonadi-googledata package locally and
trying to install it, I see it was obsoleted by akonadi-kde4.
So I think it is no longer neccessary...

And now that I tried it, yes it's working automatically...

Thanks,

Oliver

Now the package is the akonadi-google. The akonadi-googledata is deprecated.

I use it too, to synchronize my contacts

I have added a warning that those instructions are out of date. If
you could spare a moment, please check
http://userbase.kde.org/Working_with_Google_Contacts and correct me if
necessary. Thanks
