I haven't changed any of my account settings and triple checked them
for correctness. The activity window doesn't show any SMTP activity
at all. I've also tried a different SMTP host with the same results.
Both accounts are working fine in Mail.app with the exact same
settings.

Any pointers are highly appreciated.

The most likely problem is that MailMate does not think that the SMTP
server is reachable. Please send me the following files (off list):

~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Sources.plist
~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Submisson.plist

Note that when you change an SMTP server then it doesn't affect any
scheduled drafts. You have to send a new message to test the new
settings.

I have the exact same issue ;/

what mail do you want the above sent to ?

Did you upgrade to the latest build yet? The issue should be fixed by
now – at least it is for me.

btw. looks like google smtp works fine.

its just our internal mail server that seem to have problems.

Wild guess here - our servers been updated to disable SSL because of recent
security issues. could it be mailmate client communication has issues with
this ?

This only works if you are already on the 64 bit builds. The first time
requires a manual download. This was mainly done because the 64 bit
builds were both slower and used a lot more memory. This is not the case
for the next build though which I'll post here soon (it might be more
buggy than the 32 bit build since it hasn't been tested by a lot of
people).

I wouldn't have expected that to make a difference when you do not get
any output in the Activity Viewer. Nevertheless, here is the latest 64
bit release with the changed SMTP handling:

Downloaded it and it freezes. The main window never shows up.

It does though show its counters both on icon and in main apple menubar.

.ooh - its just veeery slow to startup. It finally popped up ;)

I see in changelog it is stating faster startup fixes...is that because the
64bit is slower generally or should it be faster than the 32bit version ?
(right now it definitely does not start faster for me)
